Going to clean shave today for the first time in years. Need recommendations

Have been maintaining a stubble lately, but I really want to have a clean look again. Last time I shaved years ago was with those plastic cartridges lmfao.

Recommend me what to pick up from Target. A good safety razor? I wash my face and use moisturizer daily, but give me your routine fellas. I wanna look clean and feel like a model

Make sure you're not breathing through your mouth and aren't overweight before going clean shaven.

Other then that, just some sandalwood shaving soap and a safety razor, I use a muhle R41 and R89 depending on the blade.

Make sure to use hot water when washing your face to open up the pores, use the weight of the blade, use cold water to rinse off after you're done and either add some aftershave or balm depending on how sensitive your skin is I guess.

If you're not ugly and have a decent jawline, it won't matter

If you're an ugly estrogen filled zoomer chincel redditor, keep the beard

Just shave with a mach 3 or whatever, it doesn't need a spooky ritual.

I have to use an electric razor. The skin on my face does not like shaving with a razor. Head is fine though which is weird. Electric razor doesn't get the cleanest shave, but enough to look nice.

If I had to choose though use a safety razor for the face for the closest shave.

You’d think you’re dad would’ve taught you about shaving by now.

A decent exfoliant like the apricot scrub, a decent razor if you will be doing this more than once like the Mach 3 mentioned above , a decent gel so it glides well with no cuts, and a nice moisturizer after like bulldog post shave.

I have some soap I use normally. Will just buy the safety razor then. I seen some of these routines on TikTok and YouTube and dudes will put like 3 different products before even shaving, blows my mind

Holy chit the metrosexual fgts in this thread with scrubs, exfoliats and sandlewood bullchit.

Wash your face, buy a decent razor, some shaving gel, and get to work. Personally I shave in the shower.

No metro here, I just learned what works for me and is cheap, since he is going to Target.
Dymatize protein, Xtend bcaa, Bucked up pre-workout, also works for me.
Any other questions?

Just a lil update. The 5 o clock shadow is settling in nice. I think I like the stubble look overall though, now that I’ve given myself 2 days to get used to the clean shaven look lol. Will keep using that $25 fancy double edged safety razor for my pubes though.

Safety razor is worth it
Not sure about target but check out Amazon for razors. I'd suggest something like Merkur brand's Merkur Futur

For blades Gillette Silver Blue is a good cheap blade
For soap you can either go old school gradpa mode with Tabac or something more recent like Soaps from Phoenix Artisans product or Fine's Soaps.

But I mostly use old Gillette razors from 1950's (Cleaned, stripped, replated)
