why is it so hard to stick to a diet?
I've started dieting like 10 times in the past 2 years, but fail about 1-4 weeks in every time since I just lose track of it.
The only time in my life when I was able to diet successfully was when I was planning to off myself in Minecraft and planned to visit a prostitute as my last worldly activity, but didn't want the prostitute to be repulsed by my body so I spent 4 months cutting down from 18% bf to 12%, but then I kinda forgot why I was even doing it and never ended up going. Seeing abs in the mirror was cool though.

Probably because you think a diet involves eating bland foods and not enjoying your life. That is completely untrue.
You don't even want to go on a diet. You want a lifestyle change where you're constantly eating good, nutritious food. See my fitness meals here: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...hp?t=184737743

Because they are unrealistic restrictions-like limiting yourself to 600 cals a day three or four days a week, or some crap.
That is why WeightWatchers & the other companies don't go bust & are richer than ever-because they have around a 95-98% long-term failure rate & people rejoin over & over for the social aspect of others cheering you on-of course the proof 'it works' is you lost weight & will succeed next time. But you could do exactly the same on your own-starve yourself for a month or two & then give up & start binging again.
The only diet that works is a realistic diet & one that allows you to pig out at times & isn't going to make much difference to your weight.

It's your genes. If your ancestors were particularly hit with long periods of famine, food scarcity, or protein/fat scarcity, then you will have genes that will make your cells crave copious amounts of food source and a metabolism that will be set at the lowest possible speed. I read a study about this recently on Indian men who seem predisposed to having big bellies while every other part of their body is normal size. It's theorized that their ancestors (who were mostly Hindu vegetarian) had to go for long periods without adequate food resources and worse, since they were vegetarian, they barely had enough protein or fats. Thus Indian men -as compared to other men around the world - tend to have pendulous pot bellies.

It's hard because you have to deal with being hungry all the time, by essentially teasing your body and brain with food just to get by. It's almost like have a woman jerking your cock hard and then stopping. You need discipline. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Carnivore. All cravings disappear. Eat twice a day. You life isn't run by needed food every 2 hours because of cravings. It's simple and easy to cook. I'm 8 months in.
