Why are so many people on SSRI's, ket, having therapy etc

Seems everyone is either on some kind of pill or doing some kind of therapy.
Is this thanks to social media? Gay frog drinking water? Microplastics? Or have people always been this way, but back in the 60s people coped with alcohol, cigarettes and morphine? Maybe some of the boomer miscers can tell us what things were like back then

there's no money in the cure, and plenty of money in misery
Overthinking, overanalysing separates the body from the mind

it sells? its popular? don't blame social media lol, I remember every other TV commercial was ask your DR about this drug if you have a common problem!
victim mentality? yeah I suck but its not my fault, I went to a DR to btch about it and it turns out I have a disease!
is it better to do ozempic or TRT and be happy and good looking? or an obese "healthy" pureblood?
