You are correct sir! Rotties are big teddy bears. Pits mixes are big sweeties most of the time, highly protective of their families.

German shepherds are fantastic but no dog that sheds 238502583205 LBs of hair a day can be a GOAT breed

I would argue labs as being a contender for GOAT breeds though. Very easy to train and raise, very versatile, great family pets, great working dogs, big enough to defend you, etc.

I always liked pit bulls, grew up around them, never had any issues. They can be the most loyal dogs on the planet, especially female pits. However there’s no denying they are at minimum more animal aggressive than other breeds and if abused, poorly trained or born with a genetic predisposition to it, some become human aggressive as well. It’s a risk to own one.

There's less incidents with germans than pitbulls because most people who own germans are upper class responsible white people - while pitbulls attract way more trash.

I do agree as far as animal aggression but you just have to make sure the parents are animal friendly. My pit is fantastic with all animals, including small animals
