Why do many black/hispanic boys care so much for athletics, but so little for school

Too many black and Hispanic boys and occasionally young men (since they get held back so much) focus too much on sports and nothing on school. For fuks sake, you go to school to learn, not play sports. There is one ghetto school in Dallas that has a top athletics program, but their academics are complete chit. Focus on school. Who are they trying to impress anyways? Almost all their women are obese.

A vast majority of wageslaves took the school route. Why bother if you know you'll be in the same position? Sure it's an honest safe living, but where exactly does that get you? Even if you did make it to something like a doctor sloots won't care in the least bit because you're not 6'4. If you have the genetics its much better to try and become a millionaire

Also not every black athlete is dumb. Lonzo ball had a 4.0 gpa

IMO, you don't have to care about academics, but if you are going to care so much about athletics, at least care about academics first. Otherwise, don't care about anything school related. It just seems off that they are putting so much effort into sports, which don't matter, but care about meaningless sports.

There's a lot of black athletes with decent grades though. Just look it up.

And AWSbruh is right, top programs are A schools. A lot of new ballers are coming from good backgrounds. Curry, durant, Lonzo, Ja Morant, etc.

Because they own cash businesses and underreport their earnings to pay less tax. Turns out they're smarter than your average college educated scholars.

Why do you make chit up about hispanics being rich? They are notoriously poor. Largely due to their lack of education and skills.

I'm not talking professional black athletes. I am just talking about black high school kids who take sports WAY to seriously. I used to be in track in the 9th and 10th grade. Our school was almost all white, but I would see blk kids in our meets. The black kids took track WAY to seriously. There is a school in Dallas that is #1 in sports, but their academics are probably third world level. It's like 100% black/hispanic.

I'm hispanic, and when I was your age I was where you'll be in 10 years financially. I also didn't live with my mother, and I had already been married 3 years.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

If you don't take highschool sports seriously how are you supposed to make it to college?

If you don't make grades seriously how are you supposed to make it to college?

Most athletes have decent enough grades followed by superior skills to get into college

Thats another reason why they should care about academics. They won't get recruited unless they go to college.

You are talking about pro athletics. I am talking about run of the mill black/hispanic boys who engage in sports.
