It doesn’t take no 48 hours for muscle to recover that’s a myth

And so is over training ded fkn srs. Overtraining is often misunderstood. I've been doing a full-body workout every day, targeting the same muscle groups, and I've seen my strength increase more than ever before. In fact, I've gained 5 pounds of lean muscle naturally in just one month. It seems that much of what the fitness industry promotes about overtraining is misleading. With proper sleep and nutrition, your body can adapt and thrive. Just look at professional athletes who perform the same movements daily and still achieve impressive results.

Actually data show full muscle recovery is closer to 7 days to baseline. Not going to go hunting this out for you but the data is there if you go looking. Obviously certain factors will allow this to vary, such as gear use, recovery protocol and such.

You're doing full body workouts, which means you're not really doing a full workout on each muscle group unless you're stood in the gym for 6 hours a day.

Yes and no.

Are you doing 12 hard sets close to failure of chest on Mon and then again Tues with the same loads? Im assuming not.

That said, Ive done an upper/lower repeat with good success before.

Speaking for myself, my muscles adapt to the rest period. So if I train a muscle group once per week the DOMS last 2 - 3 days.

But if I train every muscle group once every 3 days (no rest days) I don't get DOMS at all.

If you like muscle soreness, train infrequently. If you hate muscle soreness, train every day.

I agree…its more like 96-120 hours for full recovery. Assuming you actually damaged it from your workout and are consuming proper nutrition to facilitate recovery.

I could probably do biceps, triceps and calves every other day. Everything else hates me if I don't give it at least 3 days

The rest days are for it to grow back thicker/bigger, not……… because we can't do it again.

If you do 25 sets for back on 5 different back machines you may need a couple days, just sayin.

It takes a lot longer than 48 hours. But you don't need to be fully recovered to hit it again. It can be 80% recovered in 2-3 days and you hit it again and that's fine.

Black gym bros don’t squat. I know you’re lying.
Except for Muzzlepress, that’s why his troll wants his butthole. If you squatted, he’d want yours as well.
