My life goal is immigrating to the USA and get a job

The same job I do in Canada, it pays almost 3 times in the US (when converted to Canadian pesos)

It's sad to see mgrants having easier time moving there than actual skilled workers,,

Indeed, and the hookers are abundant and relatively cheap in my neck of the woods.

I'm now hearing that Ukrainian hotties are coming here to do sex work.

I truly feel sorry for the Canadian boyos. You have zero economy and minimal opportunities while your government bends over backwards to attract more Pajeets.

Wait until after the elections. If what's his name wins, the unions will be gone. Big companies will no longer pay employees overtime.

I would say, you'll have success anywhere if you just care about what you do(putting in the work to learn the trade), care about the land and country you are in, the people, and you'll have an easier time making money. Anywhere else, you can do all of that and still struggle hard.

It's easy AF for Canadians thanks to NAFTA/USMCA, can't be any easier. All you need is a job offer (in a qualified field like 'Computer Systems Analyst' aka IT in your case) and you can literally just apply at the border/airport and get approved same day. No company sponsorship required. Already told you that, but you don't listen and whine about how it's impossible for some reason.

If you are a Canadian citizen, then you are not required to apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate.

You may establish eligibility for TN classification at the time you seek admission to the United States by presenting required documentation to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer at certain CBP-designated U.S. ports of entry or at a designated pre-clearance/pre-flight inspection station. You must provide the following documentation to the CBP officer:

- Proof of Canadian citizenship;
- Letter from your prospective employer detailing items such as the professional capacity in which you will work in the United States, the purpose of your employment, your length of stay, and your educational qualifications; and
- Credentials evaluation (if applicable), together with any applicable fees.

Just want to share my experience on my tn visa application! I'm a canadian citizen and it's my first time applying for tn/working in the US. Make sure you have the ff requirements: company's offer letter, tn support letter/package (written by the company's immigration lawyer, i just printed this from my email, wet signature was not needed), original diploma, certificates/licensures. If you're a clinical lab scientist like me: you'll need your ascp certificate, state licensure (if state you'll be working at requires it) and a visascreen.

No appointments needed. I have a flight booked at 7 pm on a Saturday and check in opened 4 hours before. Dropped my bags as soon as they opened and went into security as usual, lined up for immigration and as soon as I spoke to the officer he asked the purpose of travel and I told him I will be working in the US and I'd like to apply for TN. He took my passport and my fingerprints, asked if it was my first time and took me to a room for the second interview.

Two people were ahead of me and I waited for 20 mins before I was called. I gave the officer all my documents and I was asked to be seated. After a few minutes he gave me a form to fill out. The form included job title, duration dates, work address, work contact number, residence address, type of visa i was applying for, daily/weekly job duties and percentage.

He asked me what job I have, brief description of what I do and where I'll be staying. Then asked me to pay at the cashier. After I gave him the receipt, he stamped my passport and I was good to go.
Whole process from checkin to getting my tn only took 2 hours. I was lucky the airport wasn't that busy as I expected. Everything was smooth and all the officers were actually nice. Don't stress out too much as long as you're prepared and have all the documents! Good luck!

Not true. Jobs and salary depends on location. US naturally pays better for good jobs and in USD. If you're working for an US company, getting paid in USD and can work remote - you literally won. You can move somewhere cheap, save up and invest and then retire in a decade or two

That's a hot topic for my father right now. He has been complaining that his Canadian friend is treated poorly here in the US even though he contributes a great deal of money to the US economy.

Democrats on the other hand do what they can to allow illegal aliens into the US that have few skills and contribute little in the way of revenue and skill.

That's also true in Canada. OP is an underachiever. No amount of immigration will fix that.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Why don't you apply for jobs in Canada and let me know how that goes.

It has nothing to do with skills. I'm top of the game with more than 19 IT certification under my belt.
If companies in US won't even look at your resume you don;t have a chance no matter how skilled you are

I am getting calls from recruiters constantly. It has a lot to do with skill. I have underlings with CCNAs, which I do not have, and yet somehow they know less than I do regarding Cisco and IOS.

Here's the real question, how many hours a week are you spending in your own projects and your own lab?
