Just got diagnosed with COVID and holy fuk I thought I was gonna die

I normally never get sick but this time had a 103F fever. No upper respiratory issues so I assumed it was food poisoning? But eventually it turned into a 105F fever and I felt like my head was about to explode. I could barely blink without thinking I was going to pass out. I went to the ER and they diagnosed me with COVID and said my case was fairly severe and they put me on some meds that helped me heal. Doctor said at 105 is basically when the brain begins to melt it self. Which makes sense because I was dizzy and couldn’t remember anything. I’m in excellent shape and don’t have any chronic pre existing conditions. Stay safe out there this **** ain’t a joke.

The virus affects people differently some people have no issues which is not that dissimilar from the flu. What meds did yhey give you? Steroids or monoclonal antibodies?

Not sure but they said the med is typically given to 65+ patients that have pre existing conditions or are high risk. But because I was a severe case I had to otherwise I might go into shock and die. I’ve gotten COVID before and had absolutely no issues overcoming.

Yeah, I actually have some weird virus right now too. Just went out to eat and had a couple beers and all of a sudden started feeling super ill with some type of respiratory thing. Guessing I have Covid as well, feeling very ill.

Wait, how don't you know what meds you're taking? Regardless, how you get better fast. I know s couple people directly that had severe cases and put on ventilators and one died. Then my 90 year old grandma gets it during the original strain and didn't miss a day getting on the treadmill mill. Weird virus.

In the hospital the nurse just brings the meds in and I take em. I’m sure I can get a copy of the chart and find out. It did make me go from feeling like I was about to die to wanting to go out and do 100 push ups. So it was super effective.

They gave you monoclonals. Your body eventually produces their own killer T cells but they can jump that process by having taking them from recovered patients and cloning them.

I had a bad experience with the Covid myself. Perhaps OP, we would have fared worse had we not been VAXXED? Just imagine if our bodies had not been given that headstart on combating this deadly virus!?!

Why would you think you got a fever from food poisoning? I don’t think that’s a thing that happens.

I’m only now getting over what i think was Covid. Lasted for over a week. It’s the sickest I’ve felt in years.
