Cruciferous vegetables are bad for you?

I get paid twice a month, and for a week and a half I went completely without eating any vegetables at all and suffered health issues from it. I was dizzy and my blood pressure felt off. I got paid Monday and bought broccoli and cauliflower from Costco, and after eating a huge 1.5 quart bowl of cooked broccoli and cauliflower, I felt a thousand times better. My original plan was to eat this twice a day from now on.

Yesterday, I read an article that said eating cruciferous vegetables too often are bad for you, and can cause hypothyroidism.

I’d like to know the Misc’s take on this. I’m a 53 year old man trying to lose weight.

That's everything.

You have to weigh the good and the bad and then use proper discernment.

Raw milk is good for you. AND it can have harmful bacteria. I drink it because I'm healthy as f*ck and can defeat thr bacteria. I wouldn't give it to a 6 month old baby or a 97 year old lady.

Tomatoes are good for you. AND they're a nightshade that may cause joint inflammation.

You have to put it all together. Nothing you do will get you out of this life alive. You're degrading every day.

Food in general. Just….just calories are needed to survive AND processing calories ages your body.

Is broccoli good for you? Yes! Would I eat 6 pounds of it every day for a year? No. Strictly based on health issues.

A lot of things, they're good if you do/eat/take a little but can get harmful if you overdo it.

OP, if you are really concerned, just stick to eating vegetables that are in season, which will give you a break from all of them time to time.

I may need to look into this, I generally have a high amount of cruciferous vegetables daily. Natural anti-estrogen right there, but maybe I need to mix it up more myself.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I hate when people say something is toxic - everything has the potential to be toxic, it's the volume that decides if it matters. it's extremely difficult to do so but you can ingest enough water to kill you

Your bodies reaction to what you ate, said quite a lot.
It seems to know what it likes

That's the thing that's super frustrating about diets. I don't know if I should go carnivore or go on the mediterreanean diet, or just a balanced diet. I have to guess pretty much.

Yeah a little bit. I still get really full pretty quickly though. I probably need to do an actual cut for a little bit.

Some of the previously thought to be good compounds like Sulforaphane now show they can damage and kill healthy cells.

So eat them the they do in Asia, stir fried in very high heat. This will kill off most of the molecules that are a concern. And like all things, balance and moderation is key.
I probably banged your mom.

Eat the whole animal like a real man.
