We talk about female anorexia, but what about REVERSE anorexia among women?

I work for a government office in a small city right outside of Dallas Texas(deep south). My workplace is filled with morbidly obese and obese government employees. Mostly black and hispanic women. Could well be the fattest and quite possibly the ugliest place on planet earth. Yet a lot of these ppl believe that they are beautiful.

For example, this obese, Mexican dwarf at work dresses nicely, uses Botox, dances on the weekends and talks in a "sexy" way. Her fat face is filled with makeup, plastic surgery and Botox . She thinks that she is beautiful and made a joke about modeling. She's not the only one though. A lot of them think that they are beautiful when they look like chit. Another morbidly obese 60 year old Mexican called herself a "cougar." srs.

Seems like "reverse anorexia" (delusional about being normal weight when obese and being beautiful when ugly) is a bigger issue among US women than actual anorexia, ESP. Among black and Hispanic women who in many cases are obese yet still believe they are beautiful

Two disorders of body image encountered in a study of 108 bodybuilders are described. In a study of the psychiatric effects of anabolic steroids, structured interviews were administered to 55 bodybuilders who had used anabolic steroids and 53 non-user controls.

Three (2.8%) of the subjects reported a history of anorexia nervosa--a rate far higher than the 0.02% rate typically reported among American men (P < .001). Nine (8.3%) of the subjects, two of whom were former anorexics, described a "reverse anorexia" syndrome, where they believed that they appeared small and weak even though they were actually large and muscular.

Reverse anorexic subjects reported that they declined social invitations, refused to be seen at the beach, or wore heavy clothes even in the heat of summer because they feared that they looked too small. All nine reverse anorexia cases occurred among steroid users; none occurred among non-users (P < .003).

Four subjects reported that their reverse anorexic symptoms contributed to their decision to start using steroids. Disorders of body image, including both anorexia nervosa and its reverse form, may occur frequently in men who lift weights regularly. Reverse anorexia may precipitate or perpetuate the use of anabolic steroids in some individuals.

What are the symptoms of reverse anorexia?

The primary characteristics of reverse anorexia are similar to that of other types of body dysmorphic disorder, where the individual has a distorted view of themselves despite attempts to alter their body. In the case of reverse anorexia, no matter how much you work out or how much you control your diet, you’re never muscular or big enough. You may also view yourself as weak or small, even when others would describe you as strong, lean, or very muscular.

In an attempt to attain the physique that always seems to be out of reach, those with reverse anorexia may engage in compulsive behaviors, such as:

Excessively checking or avoiding mirrors
Overexercising, including working out when injured or fatigued
Overly concerned about body composition, such as fat and muscle percentages
Skipping work, social events, or other important occasions to maintain a strict diet and exercise regime
Rigid diet, which may involve cutting out entire food groups
Overuse of dietary and workout supplements
Use of anabolic steroids in an attempt to bulk up
Avoid activities or events that may involve showing their bodies, such as going to the beach or swimming.
Comparing their body to others and feeling like they come up short
Wearing baggy clothes to hide their body

Why don't those SJWs( like Mulloway69 ) do something about the reverse anorexia among black/hispanic American women? It could save some lives. They are so obese and ugly, yet they think that they are beautiful and healthy.

Plus, it would spare American men the image of seeing some obese, buffalo with skintight clothes on that are made for college girls and fit women.
