white lines on bodywork
Have any of you used the WD-40/MrClean magic eraser method to remove small bodywork lines.
Say you hit something at low speed and it left the lines or marks on your paint.

Any of you ever been (or still are) in car sales?
Thinking hard about making a career jump. Just absolutely burnt the fk out where I’m at now.
Friend of mine is averaging $8k-$10k a month at a local Toyota dealer. He says the only downside is 12 hour days and working Saturdays.
Don’t really want to give up Saturdays with my family, but for $100k+ a year, it’s tempting.

Wondering if there’s any other downsides. Seems like there has to be more, otherwise why the fk isn’t everyone trying to get into that business? Seems too good to be true.

Only other downside I can see is when people aren’t buying, you’re not making **** for money since his base salary is only $750 a week. The rest is commission.

New X5 thoughts?
Wife likes the new X5, anybody here own one?

All the reviews say it’s basically the best drivetrain and best SUV ever made.

Worth 85k fully loaded?

Current RAM 1500 trucks
Anyone have one of the newer 1500 with the 5.7L? Local dealer is selling them new in 2023 models with about $12-15k in discounts depending on model. Been thinking about trading in my 2015 F-150. I've test driven one and was really impressed with it but its hard to find details if they are actually as reliable as claimed. Any input from my misc. brethren would be appreciated.

New car, Wobbly and now leaks air? (Pls Advise)
Yes, so as the title states..
I recently bought my first car and it was brand new back in late september.
A nissan versa 2023 s and it currently has just 1900 kms on it.

I noticed randomly in the first week.. I was driving down a hill and noticed a wobble coming from the front right side.
I didn't know what it was and just knew it couldn't be normal cuz it didn't feel like that for the first few days.
I just ignored it for another week or so..
Bought an air pressure thing from amazon and eventually checked pressure and the front right tire was a bit lower than all the others but not by much at first.
I didnt bother filling at that time but waited another week.
Checked air pressure again at station before inflating and it was 27psi compared to 32.5 for every other tire (should all be 33).

So I filled all to 33. Left gas station and it was STILL wobbling.. but at least I put air in it so I did what I could.

repeating this again over time.. I filled it 2 more times over the past 2 weeks as it went down and gave me a low pressure warning on the dash again.
I finally decided that I needed to do something.
I booked an appointment to a tire shop on monday for a tire patch repair which said its going to be $50.

The thing is.. I don't know if that is the reason for the leak as I heard the rim could cause you to lose pressure too..

I'm mainly suspicious cuz the wobble didnt go away even after filling the tire fully and driving off 1 min later..

what could this be?

Could a simple rim crack cause all that wobble and air pressure loss?

maybe the stock rims are cheap as sht?

the roads here are third world status and its insane nobody talks about it.. so its like 20 potholes between every major light.
Just didnt think id have any problems so soon.

Picked up a 2024 Toyota Squoia TRD Pro.
I've been looking on and off for a Sequoia TRD since the summer, but I finally found one local at MSRP with the color I wanted.

It's called Terra. In pics and videos it's hard to tell how it will look in person

But when I went to buy it today and saw It I fukin LOVED it.
It's like a Copper mixed with Burnt Orange with some red mixed it.
Also, with the black accents on it, it looks really sick.

I'll post some pics tomorrow when I pick it up

Getting it Ceramic coated and tinted this week,
I might give it a little lift and throw on 35's

I thought increasing interest rates was supposed to deter buyers?
Retards are just doubling down lmfao.

Friend works at a local Toyota dealership and he says they're still having record months. They're moving 120-150 cars a month.
This is at a small town dealer. I can't imagine what dealerships in bigger towns and cities must still be moving.

At this point I guess rates will never go back to normal so people with functional brains can buy with sub 3% interest like we were 18 months ago.

How reliable are WRXs?
I’m thinking of buying a WRX but don’t know if it’s worth the hassle. I don’t know how to drive stick shift. Should I just get an accord instead? My civic is pretty reliable only 50k miles on it so far.

Who else is still holding out....
Still driving my 97 obs...really looking for a daily as the 97 left me stranded the other day. $60 crankshaft position sensor and were back going.

I work for a ford dealer and new cars are piling up, used cars are still moving but prices seems to be improving.

I think another 6 months you will actually be able to get a GREAT deal on a vehicle.

2024 Toyota Landcruiser and Tacoma Thread
Toyota is bringing back the Land Cruiser. It's a re-skinned and updated Prado, so it's smaller and less expensive. There are three versions, one with square headlights.

- The 2024 Land Cruiser exclusively features the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, delivering 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque and expected to offer a combined 27 MPG
- rear differential locker, Multi-Terrain Select, Downhill Assist, Crawl Control, and a disconnectable front sway bar.
- Heated and air conditioned seats. The US model won't get the 3rd row but there are cupholders in the back for your dog I guess.

nb4: That's not a real Land Cruiser, muh n/a v8, battery reee, don't buy the first year of anything, buy American.

Annoying brake squealing
Cliffs
-I replaced my rear pads & rotors a little less than a year ago
-One of the new brakes was making scraping noises, found out the top shim was out of placement
-Readjusted, was fine for a couple days then started scraping again
-Ended up replacing the entire caliper shim
-Everything was great for a few weeks, then started making squealing noises when I would brake moderately. Light and hard braking = no noise.
-Finally got around to digging, saw some burnished bits on the shim where it was making dry contact with either pads or other shims, I regreased that area
-Now it squeals maybe 50% of the time as before

Anyone have experience with this? I greased enough but it's still apparently rubbing in that same spot on the shim. For what it's worth I used caliper grease on the shims rather than any brake quiet (pads came with some compound) does that really make a difference? Stupid question but if I let it go will the grease eventually settle where it needs to and the squealing goes away? I'm at a loss why freshly greased shims would be squealing. The squealing doesn't bother me as it's only momentarily, but I hope it's not fuking up my brake assembly.

My caliper is in the 12 o clock position and this is the shim that holds the pads downwards, the service manual calls it a "spring" rather than a shim tbh. It only comes from the brake I replaced the shim on. Can any mechanic brahs speak to this? Keep digging in and greasing it until it's gone completely? I can't imagine this thing would need so much fcking grease...

Worst depreciated new-ish Ferrari
What do you think about this oddball for ~$80k? It has a V12 under the hood, 0-60 in 3.5s, 4-seater, AWD plus some reasonable trunk space. Poor man's Purosangue?

If the place is valet parking only, I'm not going. No random stranger is getting behind the wheel except the dealer porter where I have no other choice.

Post pics of cool 'Import tuner' cars (and other neat chit)
Looking into buying a sports car at some point, probably a GT4 Cayman at this point. But I really dig the 'JDM' style. Its just no competition performance wise vs a Porsche. Maybe I'll do a bit of modification and make look unique, we'll see.

Anyways, post pics of cool import tuner / jdm style cars and any other cool chit in here.

BMW Vision Neue Klasse EV concept?
A step in the right (styling) direction? At least nothing scary or shocking for a change.

Vision Neue Klasse will redefine BMW as it transitions into the electric era

"Right now, the big news at BMW is the Neue Klasse, which translates into “New Class” in English. This is not the first time the company has used the phrase. The first time around, it brought a new platform that underpinned a series of cars launched between the early 1960s and mid-1970s. The work gave the world the likes of the BMW 2002 — it was stylish and the performance, for the time, bowled driving enthusiasts over. Back then, the Neue Klasse saved BMW’s corporate bacon and went on to define the brand as it stands today.

With the company facing an equally big challenge as it transitions from the gasoline/hybrid era and into an all-electric future, Neue Klasse is the rallying cry once again. At this point, the corporate plan calls for 25 per cent of all sales to be electrified by 2025 and 50 per cent by 2030."

Best cars under 100 grand?
So i just sold my C6ZR1 about a month ago and am in the market for a new car. This would be a nice sports car that I can take for a rip or take out to dinner, i dont really care for a lot power (already have fast cars), I just want to have fun in the car.

I live in BC Canada so we get absolutely fukt for taxes on cars (over 25% on certain cars) trying to keep the budget under 100k. Trying to compile a list of cars that I can try to drive and when a deal comes up be ready to pull the plug. Also not trying to buy new if i dont have too as i hate losing money on depreciation

So far I've been looking at the new MK5 supra (was a little cramped to sit in) in manual and possibly 997.2 TT ? Any other recommendations bruhs?

Toyota Avalon?
Anyone have experience with a Toyota Avalon? I’m watching a 2006 with 95,000 miles on it right now, currently listed for $11k to see if they cut the price

I don’t need a new car right now, but I’m thinking it might be time to upgrade soon because my current car needs something fixed every year it seems (2003 Mercury sable with 125,000 miles on it, just had alternator replaced)

My biggest priorities for a car are comfort and reliability

It looked in very good condition, would take it to a mechanic for a pre purchase inspection

Am I wrong in thinking that if it all checks out this Toyota could easily last at least ten more years? The price seems pretty high but that’s typical these days
