Anyone notice this people become "machiavellian" in Business?
I noticed that when you talk with co-workers and even more so with other professionals in a B2B sense, there is this unspoken verbal jousting that takes place. Basically it seems that people have conversation and there is a subtle "argument" or "one-upmanship" that takes place. This is not happening directly but kind of subtle, it's kind of hard for me to explain exactly so I am hoping others could chime in. I get the sense when communicating with others in business there is a constant dick-measuring / who's asserting their dominance in conversation constantly. I bet you Jordan Peterson or someone could talk more about this but it is almost if one someone goes into "work" all of a sudden a new personality takes over, and its a Machiavellian type of attitude.

Thoughts, comments, discuss!

* Official LOGE thread!*!!!
Since we were shilling in the official crypto thread I'm making this to stop the spam and just keep it here. You can say what you want about it, ponzi scheme etc, but we are all in crypto to make money. i got in when it first went live and im up about 3k right now. Was up 12k at ATH. They are re-locking their coins tomorrow and here is all the official info you need to know about it.

Here is all the official information, website, chart, etc.

https://www.notion.so/reddit-post-09...a1adf11c9434f3

They also announced they will be doing a bi-weekly 1% burn of tokens which is a step in the right direction. They are marketing to get twitter and insta personalities to shill the coin. This is a chance to make 50x investment in a short period of time. Don't get me wrong its risky as hell but I think its worth the chance..

Unemployment After a Lay-off
If someone gets laid-off from a job and if he doesn't apply for unemployment benefits right after he is laid-off because maybe he doesn't feel like he needs the unemployment benefits since he has plenty of money saved up to last him at least 3 years without a job before he goes broke and doesn't want to go through the hassle of applying for unemployment benefits right after he gets laid-off, will the unemployment benefits still be available for him to apply for when he does need it and he is still unemployed?

Is it everything OK with you?
the current fast-paced work environment can feel like an emotional roller coaster. Long working hours, unyielding deadlines, and expanding demands can leave you feeling drained and suffocated. When stress becomes too much to handle, it ceases to be beneficial, damages your physical and mental health, and negatively impacts your job satisfaction.
The calming effect of CBD is its most widely recognized benefit that has contributed to its common use. In a 2017 study conducted by the Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry, 57 men were tested for anxiety levels during a simulated public speaking exam. On the other hand, Delta 8 is widely described as a pleasant and mood-enhancing experience, providing users with deep relief and inner peace. After spending years on cronic pain, all these alternative ways to feel stress relieving are really safe and you can currently ejoy of their benefits at home easily.

Gold miners are hitting 52k week highs
Gold stocks are hitting new 52-week highs today as bank stocks are hitting new 52-week lows. This is not the end of this rotation, but the beginning. The stocks that lived by the bubble are dying as the air comes out. Old fortunes will be lost and new fortunes will be made.

Just a shiny little rock, right morons?

Awful investment, right?

Anyone in sales? Post tips, tricks, books.
I'm on the tech sales side. I help influence the sale that my reps get through their pipeline. Some of you may be new on your journey, for example I'm one year transferring from more ops engineer roles. Being a sales engineer is a unique role and honing on your hard and soft skills will ensure your success in this business.

I will start with "Ten Things That Require Zero Talent"

- Being On Time
- Attitude
- Work Ethic
- Passion
- Effort
- Being Coachable
- Body Language
- Doing Extra
- Energy
- Being Prepared

A few books I recommend.

Hope that helps! Post more information.

What Should I Study? (Srs) I am confused.
So basically..
I have never been to college and I have wasted a lot of time because I was comfortable working lazy security work for sht pay.
I have no debt and can get a good loan because family and I are poor and I have to support myself.

I am not good with tools and thats not something I am interested in.

I basically was raised spending most of my days on computers so doing something related to that seems like a good idea.
Another interesting/fun course I was looking into was firefighting training but not sure if that would lead to an actual job.

Anyone have any advices?

thanks

I make ~$80/hr and its not enough.
I don't even see how people are making it. I'm in the top 5% but I can only afford an average/below average house if I buy responsibly. how does that even make any sense?

I want more money and I want more out of life.

Real Estate Market
Real estate is a complex and varied market, with different segments that can experience growth or decline depending on a range of factors. However, overall, the real estate market has seen growth in recent years.

In many parts of the world, real estate has been a strong performer, with prices rising in many urban areas due to a combination of low-interest rates, high demand, and limited supply. This has led to a strong seller's market, with many homeowners seeing their property values increase.

Additionally, real estate investing has become increasingly popular as a way to generate passive income and build wealth. Investors can purchase properties and rent them out, or invest in real estate investment trusts (REITs), which offer exposure to the real estate market without requiring the investor to own physical properties.

However, it's important to note that the real estate market is cyclical, and can experience periods of growth followed by periods of decline. Factors such as economic conditions, interest rates, and demographic shifts can all impact the real estate market. As such, it's important for investors and homebuyers to carefully consider market conditions and trends before making real estate investments or purchasing property.

How to start a successful side hustle while working full-time?
Here are some tips for starting a successful side hustle while working full-time:

1. Choose a side hustle that you're passionate about: Look for a side hustle that aligns with your interests and skills. This will make it easier to stay motivated and committed.

2. Set realistic goals: Set specific and realistic goals for your side hustle, such as how much time you can dedicate to it each week and how much income you want to generate.

3. Create a schedule: Time management is key when it comes to balancing a full-time job and a side hustle. Create a schedule that allows you to dedicate time to both without sacrificing work or personal life.

4. Leverage your network: Use your personal and professional network to promote your side hustle and attract new customers. Social media platforms like ******** and Instagram can be great tools for marketing.

5. Learn from others: Look for mentors or other successful side hustlers in your field who can provide guidance and advice.

6. Don't be afraid to pivot: If your side hustle isn't working out as planned, don't be afraid to make changes. Be open to new opportunities and adjust your strategy as needed.

How to negotiate salary when accepting a job offer?
Here are some tips for negotiating salary when accepting a job offer:

1. Do your research: Before negotiating, research the average salary for the position and industry in your area. Websites like Glassdoor and Salary.com can provide helpful information.

2. Know your worth: Consider your qualifications, experience, and skills and how they align with the job requirements. Use this information to determine your desired salary range.

3. Be confident: Approach the negotiation with confidence and express enthusiasm for the job offer. Remember that negotiating salary is a common practice in the hiring process.

4. Be flexible: If the employer can't meet your desired salary, consider negotiating other aspects of the job such as benefits, vacation time, or a signing bonus.

5. Practice active listening: Listen to the employer's perspective and be open to compromise. Consider their needs and the company's budget.

6. Follow up: If you've agreed on a salary, make sure to follow up with a written confirmation of the agreement.

Remember that negotiation is a two-way process, and it's important to find a solution that benefits both you and the employer. Good luck!"

Side hustles that are actually worth it?
I found this a while back and started doing all of them (including walking dogs). I made $560 last month from it all. My question is... what am I missing? What should I add to my list?

How do i fix my Coinbase wallet app login issues?
Transactions between Coinbase and Coinbase wallet definitely would not happen in no time and would take a certain period because network confirmation and on-chain completion are also done before the transaction is executed and the availability of Coinbase exchange is also a mandatory requirement for the doing the same.

Is It Standard Practice to Internally Advertise Positions for Only 3 Days in 2023?
See title.

Clearly advertising is quite often only a formality and the business already has someone in mind for the position.

Thoughts?

New AI Opportunities
Is anyone working on developing any new concepts that utilize the new AI functionalities that are becoming available?

I am trying to get in to some of this ChatGPT API development ( I am on the waiting list), I think we will see a small revolution in data enhancements and automation. First adapters IMO are going to have a huge leg up in the new world.

I am considering taking on some consulting work on the this topic, I think there might be some real opportunities.

What are you brahs doing with this stuff?

Getting into tech, where to start?
lots of tech company/military chit around me

currently in the health field and well make 50k a year with low prospects for improvement. One of my patients in the industry was telling me to just applying for random jobs even though I only have an associates in my field not related to anything tech.

I just started my "career" but years ago earning of 50-70k sounded like enough to me, now with inflation and a field controlled by reimbursements with more cuts coming, meaning no wage adjustments to inflation and possible paycuts, little room for growth. I'm seeing it's simply not a great way to spend what little youth I have left. I'd be lucky to save $1,000 per month after my bills

I figured I can try another degree and try to change industries or just stick with poverty time my whole life (Even though I'm horrible at math and barely passed college algebra)

So what options are viable, pursuing a associates at my local college would be very doable (cyber security?, computer science?) bachelors would be harder. Or would be getting some certs and trying to break into the industry be better rough road map?
