everythings in your head bro.

i'm a severe hypochondriac, haven't really bothered going to a therapist because i don't believe in taking drugs. Life is fkn hard, not gonna be a pussy and take meds to feel less anxious, just gonna move along. i've had moments where i've literally believed I was going to die, and had every single symptom that was brought upon by this thing I supposedly had. You know what happened? Nothing at all, it passed overtime, and I became more rational. Stress is one of the worst things on your body, I can tell you right now it can mimic 95% of symptoms.

I thought I had a brain tumour a year or so ago. Had tension headaches everyday for 6 months, the month before I decided to go to the doctors I had vertigo basically every single day in the morning for 2-3 hours, and puked numerous times. Had a ct and mri of my brain absolutely nothing wrong, had neuro tests, absolutely nothing wrong. The next day coming back from the hospital felt so much better, and within a week it fkn passed. really goes to show you how fked stress is. Hang thru bro, if 5 doctors haven't found anything wrong with you, then it is just really in your head.

Well antibiotics destroy your gut flora and can take over a year to replenish. Get yourself some prebiotics and eat a lot of fermented food

Many of your symptoms are commonly experienced by people with untreated sleep apnea. Definitely worth looking into. A simple sleep study is all that's needed to rule it in/out.

no reason for anyone new to IF to start with an 18+ hour daily fast. 16 hours a day is best for the first few months and even year.

This is burnt out adrenal glands. The night waking is common with burnt out adrenals, the same as not getting well rested sleep, regardless of the actual hours asleep. They act based on stress, to for example produce cortisol which is supposed to be highest in the morning, or as a response to high histamine.

My adrenals were completely shot due to gluten, caffeine and training for a marathon. The gluten caused leaky gut which created inflammation every time i ate any food and food allergies. The adrenals produced cortisol to counteract this. They produce adrenaline every time you drink caffeine or exercise with intensity. I did this over years and it culminated in me, knowing nothing about this, lying on the floor in a hostel convinced i was having a heart attack. After a scary ambulance ride later it turned out it was a panic attack, first one id ever had. What triggered this was a lack of sleep, severely hungover, and 3 cups of strong coffee after a meal that contained all my now known allergies.

This all stemmed from gluten. No doctors in 5 years knew what was wrong with me, this was all self discovered and researched. my skin cleared up, i dont get sleepy after food anymore, anxiety and panic attacks are gone. Random bouts of depression gone. I discovered this after keeping a food journal, and realised when i cheated at the weekends with pizza, id randomly feel depressed for 3 days, and my face would bloat and go red. The adrenals can be supported with b12, folate, b5 and vitamin c. Including many herbs such as liquorice. The gut being healed is more difficult and all the supplements in the world did nothing until i cut out the gluten for an extended period of time. Missing beer and pizza was the hardest and it took years cheating with them every weekend getting nowhere until one day id had enough and life finally feels good again

Something which helps almost immediately is Alpha GPC and glycine. Alpha gpc creates choline which is depleted due to stress and exercise, this activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest). Glycine before bed i found by accident. I was taking it for exercise before bed, and it helped with sleep and anxiety immediately. Upon research i think this is because it combines with glutamate to form glutatihone, so there is less glutamate in the brain which is excitory.

Joe Banks was diagnosed with a 'Brain Cloud.' Turns out it was fatal.

Fortunately for him a private investor funded an all-expense-paid trip to a tropical island.

Maybe you can do something similar?

ketosis and intermittent fasting for brain related problems and digestive problems.
I'm eating the way I have eaten for most of my life though, why would I be getting all these issues out of nowhere?

Sleep apnea sounds very plausible. What's the treatment for abnormal cortisol? Is it caused by anxiety?

Nobody around me is having these issues, a 4G tower is a few miles away but I think someone else would also be having these issues if that were the case

THIS actually makes the most sense, because I definitely feel worse after eating. How should I go about eating gluten free, just meat, veggies, eggs, water and no bread?

Sleep apnea - possible, narcolepsy - 99.99% not likely, I feel fogged most of the time not just when I feel sleepy

I haven't been in nature that much except for a small camping trip that I took, I didn't have a rash or anything, also I took 2 rounds of antibiotics. What were your symptoms exactly? How did it start? How long before you started treatment and how long did it take you to get better?

For any doctors here, is it possible that I could have mono? I've read that it can give you a lot of neurological symptoms

Would make sense since I got like this when I started seeing my GF, and I don't remember having mono ever

I understand, though narcolepsy is very rare as far as I know

I think I either have a bad infection (lyme/mono/something else) that's giving me neurological symptoms, it's all in my head, or I have a food allergy, or a sleep disorder. Gonna have to visit a neurologist again.

I'm sure at least 50% of it is in my head, but I would swear on my life that there's something going on with my nervous system. I only get anxious (very rarely lately) because of the symptoms I am having, no other anxieties in my life, also I don't constantly think about this 24/7.

How can a 22 year old (my age's wrong deal with it) go from being active as fuk, staying up all night and not even feeling it the next day, working 2 jobs, to not being able to enjoy a damn cup of coffee with friends in, all in 2 MONTHS. Chit has ruined my fuking life srs

Thanks everyone ITT, will rep all of you when i get the chance

Worst day yet brahs, woke up so goddamn confused, I forget where I am at least once every 10 min, the fog is making me borderline retarded.

I woke up a lot during the night, idk why, I just remember feeling really confused and looking at my hands, they looked weird af.

Idk if my sleep issues are due to anxiety or sleep apnea, or both

I dealt with extreme brain fog, dizziness and exhaustion for 1.5 years....I FEEL your pain misc bro. I went to dozens of doctors and all of them treated me like I was crazy. I havent read the entire thread but if you havent been to an ear, nose and throat specialist please make an appointment.

My ENT did the following:
-Tested me for allergies and food sensitivities - Discovered I was highly allergic to milk and Gluten. I cut these items out and my exhaustion went away within three days
-Hammered me with antibiotics and steroids - Got rid of the brain fog. He discovered my normal doctors were barely giving me enough medicine to kick a head cold. This killed most of the brain fog
-Conducted an inner ear test- Determined I had inner ear damage on my right side and potentially had vertigo. Went to physical therapy and my dizziness and the rest of the brain fog went away within six weeks..

He told me vertigo, sinus issues/infections and allergies are all significant culprits for brain fog. You can easily watch a youtube video and do the somersault roll or the epley move at home for the vertigo. You can do an elimination diet to determine if you had food allergies. The sinus issues you will have to have massive amounts of meds or a CT scan..

If you get a really good ENT they can help....Again, I feel for you. Brain fog is debilitating and its panic inducing. I know what if feels like to search the internet for hours for a cure because the doctors cant help you.You feel like you are never going to get your life back. Hang in there man.

I'm sympathetic to the idea that wifi also is a possible problem.

I only use ethernet now, I might be paranoid but why take the risk for convenience?

It seems we are engaging in a global experiment regarding the health effects of wifi and 4G.

Honestly, I would recommend getting a MRI on your brain and spine.

I have Multiple Sclerosis, and one of the first symptoms was extreme brain fog(as you've described), tiredness, and muscle pain. An MRI will allow you to confirm or rule out some pretty serious things that you'll want to begin treatment with right away if you have them.

Brahs, I just got diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)

Basically, my nervous system is kinda out of whack and when I stand up my heart rate goes up to 130 BPM and never gets below 100 until I sit down. It's normal to have an increase up to 10+/- bpm but 30+ and you have a syndrome

Docs think this could have been caused by a virus/autoimmune disease, so I'm going to start exercising (which is one of the known cures for it) until they can find out if I still have a bad virus or an autoimmune disease.

Wish me luck brahs, life sucks but it's also pretty damn good even if your nervous system doesn't work
