If you want to make friends in the gym, talk to people before/after their workout, not when they're trying to get chit done.

Jakes on you. Seems like the bigger i get the nicer people are, weird phenomenon right?
I dont give a fk about what people do with their bodies, i just want to look good for myself. Look good, feel good.
If you lift and achieve a respectable physique you will garner respect (and envy) from others because although its an extremely easy hobby in THEORY its a difficult task to follow consistently (hence why obesity rates have hit a new peak at 40%).
Thus, you dont need to look down on any one. People will look UP to YOU and treat you on how you carry yourself, whether its because of what you've attained physically, financially or through fame/status.

agreed
i do look down on really fat people though, a dadbod or a belly isn't something I'd say is at all pathetic, but I've been fat-ish before and I ate like absolute sh-t and a lot too. To get really fat you need to indulge in so much crap for so long it's ridiculous and that IS pathetic.
what I do phuckin hate is insecure *******s that get all weird around people that are in better shape, whether it be passive aggressiveness or dumb ass jokes or nicknames. phuck off bro.
in the end, we lift to raise our sexual value. I lift so I feel good about myself and that one day, someone will compare me to the DYEL BFs of her friends and be happy af I lift.

Don't get me wrong. I work out and care about my appearance. But weightlifting is not hard and it's not a manly activity.

I've never met anyone who's in shape that acts like a narcissistic tool. I have, however, met countless fatties or generally out of shape people with an unreal inflated sense of self worth.

I'm a better person now that I've started lifting and getting healthy. And not just physically better.
So if lifting can make me a better person when compared to me, why can't it make me better when compared to someone else?

To get a 1% body in today's world takes like a year of decent programming and diet. People confuse youtube/the misc/their gym with real life, in the real world virtually everyone I see lacks any kind of muscularity. The majority of serious lifters get into it in the first place because they're insecure about themselves to begin with, that's the truth whether people here will admit it or not. Naturally, people that are happy with themselves and content with the lives they live will not dedicate their entire lives into having the top 1% bodies out there.

Fukc *******s who don't lift.
I'm lazy as **** and if I can force myself so can they.
You don't have to be jacked and massive, but a puny weakling man is a pathetic sight to see.
*this does not include people who have serious medical problems that causes them to be that way. For example a truck driver with bad knees.
**I also probably have mental problems and use this to cope

Even though they're healthy and eat a good diet, there are some douches that look down on them because they're skinny and don't lift. My only pet peeve is when I seen dudes who are skinny but have that chubby body. Arms just straight and flabby, no definition, it's like an insult to being fit. I'm a lot more non-caring now, but I used to lose all respect for a guy instantly when I seen a body like that, like you're a man with the perfect opportunity to look strong, hit the weights.

I think looking down on others is a bit of an overstatement, but I can't deny that I have way more respect for people that lift, or do any form of strenuous sport and accomplished some sort of high (amateur/hobby) level in it.
Reaching a certain physique/strength requires a tremendous amount of work and dedication, from going the gym, to checking your diet, to prioritising it over other things. I do believe that takes a certain mindset and discipline that a lot of people don't have.
It might be easy to judge others and think "all they need to do is go to the gym 3x per week and watch what they eat". Seems like little effort to someone who loves doing that, but for normcells that doesn't seem like little effort. It's like someone playing guitar looking down on people and saying "lol loser, if you'd just spend 4h every week playing guitar you would be a great player". Compared to how much time I spend on going to the gym, checking my diet etc, 4h per week is nothing, but no way in hell I would make the time for it. All comes down to what your priorities in life are.
I do have to say that prioritising health is a big no-brainer, but unfortunately not many people see it that way.

People are just like this... no matter what the topic, especially on the Internet.
Go to any forum or Youtube comments section on say a gaming or poker video (just a couple of things I've had an interest in over the years). They are full of egotistical braggarts trying to big themselves up by sh*tting on other people.
