Edit: you edited your post. No, it was me saying there are worse things out there than worrying about racism. I never let racism dictate how my life is. Did I bitch about it? Sure. When it happened, but I hardly ever think about it, today. Chit, the most racism I ever caught was from latinos, but I don't judge and blame the entirety of latino-Americans because of the chit I dealt with when I was younger.

The people who constantly complain about racism are normally weak individuals. If you're going to hop on social media as a largely public figure, you're gonna need to have a thick skin. She did not. Like I was saying, racism should be discussed, but I fukking hate it when people use it as a fukking excuse to sit on their ass and point fingers at people. Get the fukk up, brush it off and get after it. People are gonna fukking hate you, whether it be for you just being a certain race, or for your chitty acting. That's life. They need to get the fukk over it and move on.

She was harassed because her character sucked, the movie sucked, and to Star Wars fans it was the nail in the coffin for the series. not beause she's asian.

The majority of "racial comments" were because she was a forced diversity(code word for anyone except white males) casting. Which is true and undebatable.

at this point she is just trying to gain points with Hollywood and the media for continuing to push the same jerkcircle they push. (anti white, anti trump, etc.)

And there's far too much of the 'forced role trope' garbage in this franchise now for the phrase 'greatest film franchise of all time' to make any kind of sense any more.

Veronica Ngo who played her sister as a throw away character is way more accomplished, and WAY more attractive, but Disney couldn't have that for pandering reasons.

Not everyone shares your temperament.

And honestly, I think that not processing racist experiences can lead to self hate.

People who can just 'suck it up' IMO, often don't process or challenge the thoughts they receive, and can;just think it's OK to receive abuse and can become doormats, can build up a lot of repressed rage due to self hate and abusive experiences, can develop a lack of empathy due to cutting themselves off from their feelings, or can lead to chronic self hate because the message they recieve from racists aren't challenged in their minds.

(I'm am genuinely not trying to imply, that that applies to you.)

I have an uncle whose attitude was 'who cares about racism' when I told him about losing my job, due to a racist boss. He is literally the most angry and emotionally repressed person I know, who has complained to me about being lonely.

On the one hand i think most of the hate is cause the movie sucked and shes a little fat

On the other hand ive had asians friends and theres a lot of truth to her feelings if you really read into it. Theres a lot of "well, youre asian so youre different and we expect you to be xyz". Asians want to be accepted and integrated into white society. I was an ugly duckling as a kid and was often osctracized. I can tell you looks is a much bigger factor in whether people accept you. But yeah if youre fat or skinny/weak and not particularly attractive society is not too kind. Especially with movies where the gross majority of actors (not including "flavor" or "beta" actors like george castanzas and steve buscemis) are either former models or were offered modeling contracts and turned them down. When you watch any show or movie the majority of the actors had some connection to modeling.

this, but some of the crazy star wars fans dont care, they would have killed jar jar if it was a real person. So its not because she is asian, its because its a horrible character.
