Aside from ethical issues, being vegan is healthy as fuark. It's true, you won't be jack3d as fuark completely laying away from meats, but fuark you feel 100000x as good. I tried it for 10 days and after the 5-day mark, I felt so clean, inside n out.

Just as you're saying they're not vegan, they equally can be.

Looking at the picture as a whole, you eat everything that's vegan(pop, fries(cooked separately), bun, ketchup, mustard, lettuce)
I'll eat the burger and the cheese with anything else.

Guarantee you that you will suffer the negative heath side effects **DECADES** before I do. That's because the animal products aren't the problem but rather the garbage food as a whole, most of which is vegan friendly.

The average teen eats 28 teaspoons of added sugar per day.
You eat that with your vegan diet, I'll eat 8 eggs a day. Lets see who dies first. Since its the evil animal products and not the vegan sugar, this should be an easy win for you.

Sorry but you can't prove a plant is not sentient because it doesn't have a nervous system. Furthermore, its not a rationalization for eating meat. It is a question of hypocrisy that comes down to a simple premise, "Are not all living organisms equal?"

I'll add in the amount of water used in producing various energy sources. Fracking a well requires a tremendous amount of water.

Many of these people have this utopian idea about things... but i guarantee if they got everything they wanted they wouldn't be happy about the drastic increase in the cost of living they will suffer.

Beef is not the only thing consumed in cow slaughtering ... just about every part of the animal is used in a wide variety of industries. So for these people to simply compare the environmental costs of beef consumption to agricultural consumption and say, "See look!" is quite disingenuous and/or short sighted. Especially when you consider that only about 40-50% of a cow is used for food and the rest industrial purposes.

Could plants be used. Maybe. But i give industry much more respect than the random scientific out-of-context agendized crap i see online. If it were cheaper to use plants ... industry would use plants. It's pretty simple. For instance the fracking industry is likely transitioning from diesel to natural gas straight from the well head. Why? Because its more cost effective in many cases. The same logic is applied elsewhere.

This follows the point i made a few posts above. If the utopian save the world crowd got their way i'm pretty sure they will be screaming when their monthly cost of living triples.

It wasn't log ago that California passed some law requiring chickens in their state have cages of a certain size. The average person in Cali wasn't happy when they realized their egg prices went up 40%. This kind of stuff strains poor people the most.
