The running costs will be high, especially when things start to go wrong. Had a Boxster S 04 for a while, did actually get attention from girls but nothing you would want to date!
If you have no over heads, go for it, find yourself a Porsche specialist/independent garage to do your maintenance, or do it yourself!

The only Boxster worth getting is the S model
SUPER fun car to drive as well. They're a pretty well kept secret. They are basically like super refined Miatas.

People who say Boxster is a poverty car and 245bhp is nothing, are just a bunch of spoil brats. Most of them american, who only know how to accelerate in a strait line.
Get the porsche.
The pleasure of driving through europe on several landscapes is how to carry speed without constantly accelerating and braking and the Boxster has superb handling.
ps: do not go for the cayman for the small extra handling/performance. Part of the experience of driving is the open top.
Do it.

Sad.
Also OP, not sure why you're so hung up on not have a huge social circle or a gf. I actually prefer doing most things by myself, although I'm a bit of a loner. And even a FA like me can get girls and FWBs from time to time.

Boxsters are nice cars for sure and I am planning on buying one myself. But I'm in a different place to you. I've already travelled, had sex with lots of women and had a great time. I'm now married with kids and enjoying it, but that's because I did all those other things when I was younger.
You'd be far better at your age to quit work and spend the money travelling. Then get a job when you get back. You can go all around SE Asia, or anywhere you want, have sex with loads of women, meet new friends and have an awesome time, then get a job and a nice car when you return. I'm 100% serious on this. You will definitely look back when you're in your 30s on your 20s and think back to your memories of travelling and having a good time much more fondly than the memory of having a nice car, which after you get used to it, is just a car at the end of the day.
I hope you listen to this post and don't just ignore it. Good luck!
