yeah, the misc is really messed up. If you are a teen who doesnt really know there place and takes everything on here seriously - nothing good will come from it. I stick all the trolls/idiots/FAs on my ignore list and just have certain threads that I have subscribed too that I post in mainly.

There are some really awesome people on the misc. I have learned an absolute ton of knowledge from being on the misc about all sorts of things. It's one of those things where it is what you make it.

Misc has actually been a really good source of information for me. DIY stuff for example. Plus, the misc, despite its silliness, has a really diverse group of young males from different fields. Getting information about car buying, investing, neat purchases, good deals, firearm info, home improvement, etc... is pretty readily available on the misc.

BB.com's forums helped me as well (although not exclusively misc).

It's been invaluable since I joined after having brain cancer and being lost as to how to get my health back. As rough as things have been even up to this very day, I might still believe all the ignorant fitness myths and not have the understanding that I do now in regards to nutrition, working out, supplements, support, ect.

Nowhere else on the internet would have helped me like this, and certainly not in a manner in line with true masculinity. Let's be real here: Lots of internet outlets are overrun with p*ssies, attention whores, and a cringe factor that can't be put to words. No way I'd have been able to learn what I have or even socialize/relate with the reddit lot or the much smaller circles on ********/social networking.

While there will inevitably be crossovers like the piece of sh*t shooter in the topic, that just seems to be the spread of loonies and sexually frustrated psychopaths with access to the internet in general. There's some messed up stuff on the misc, but there's obviously worse content out there and communities/subreddits full of truly vile, subhuman filth. Even with the negative public exposure the misc has seen, it's not the type of place you visit without your salt shaker on hand and you could happily point the media hounds towards reddit to see dead serious crazy going on.

Correlation doesn't equal causation. Every dude that has issues with chicks or body image problems will be drawn to bodybuilding. Once they snap you can't blame BB.com for turning them into a supreme gentleman. For every MGTOW FAer there are 10 guys who've gained confidence, made friends, learned a lot etc. As a whole this site is a net positive to society, even the MISC itself is a net positive.

That's retarded logic. There are millions of people that are poor that don't go around killing people. If he had won a lottery the week before would he have gone on the killing spree? Maybe not. But if the only thing holding you back from killing random people is wealth then you have serious mental issues.
