Just go to a bar and take turns getting rounds, she will often make you buy one more (for whatever reason) but it's normal to do that.

And i was in a hurry because i had forgot that we had a date setup.

if im looking to smash, will always pay.

if I have smashed and I like her, will pay.

If im not looking to smash, wont pay.

unless youre a lower rate tax payer, I dont see why anyone would ever suggest splitting a bill. Its cringey as fuk.

I don't wanna end up as " Free Food " in her contacts that's why, I don't want her to use me for my cash, she can do that chit with other *******s.. also it's 2016 nowadays you don't go on a "date" it's just Netflix & chill AKA smash within 5 mins of meeting the sloot for the first time.

If in 2016, your generation "doesnt go on dates", then what are we discussing here? No need to discuss bill semantics if there is no bill?

Not a fair judgement call. You're from the united kingdom. Common decency, and decorum still have value there. A pleasant surprise to me when I was dating in Manchester/London. When the waiter brought the bill to the table the girls at least reached for their purse.

In the states, these jokes for women mostly just bert stare it or take a sip of whatever they're drinking to wait for you to pull out your wallet. I'm all for a man paying for dinner, but i don't waste it on american chicks. Too much "time to go on this date to get this free meal" culture.

Protip: If you can Netflix&Chill a girl within even two times of meeting her. She's not dinner or date material anyways. You're "free meal" in her phone, and she "IrishBar Brunette" in yours.

Exactly. This is exactly how I handle it with friends. my 2-4 close friends I don't mind. Ive bought concert tickets for friends because they werent really into the artist, but I was and noone else I know likes them. Same with sporting events etc.

Thats good perspective. Lets think about it like this. If you are going out with women that just go out with you for a "free meal", Id be much more upset about wasting my time on going out with the chick then the measly couple bucks you have to shell out to pick up the tab no? Sounds like miscers might be spending time with the wrong women.

I usually buy drinks on the first date, sometimes food if we eat. If she insists on paying for part or all, I just let her know that I appreciate it and I definitely take her more seriously if she does.

You need to understand this new generation is retarded

Firstly, you don't take girls out for expensive dates when first meeting. Drink should cost you like $15-30 lol. Secondly, half the time they offer to pay or will pay on the next date. Thirdly, if you aren't a giant *******, girls won't use you for free meals like miscers have claimed.

Ask if she's a feminist/believes in gender equality

If the answer is yes then naturally she should always at least offer for the bill to be split. If not then well she's obviously a hypocrite

I actually don't mind paying the tab though and I can't remember being in a situation where the other person didn't offer to split.

I'd always offer to pay, if she insists, then I will say that she can pay for the next date, or can go halves on tha tone.

She may have you as "free food" but you'd have her marked as "20 grade A pussy" or whatever, if you want to think of it that way.

I dont even know, I havent dated anyone new in 6 years and the last 2 girls I was dating, their dads were mega rich, so would just give them money - so would always offer to pay their share.

This, if I'm inviting them out for dinner then i expect to be picking up the tab.

That being said, I do take it to be a good thing if they at least reach for the bill to take a look at how we are going to split it, if they dont even glance at it I'll still be paying but I would have second thoughts about asking them out again.

100% this. Absolutely despise people who are uptight about every single penny.

As for the dating thing, I think it speaks a lot about a person's character, male or female, if they don't at least offer to pay their half. I usually cover it anyway, but I'll remember who offered and who didn't offer. If you're on a date with a girl and she doesn't even attempt to pay for anything, red flags are flinging up left, right, and center in my head. I get that societal norms dictate the man is supposed to pay, but that little gesture of reaching for the purse means a lot to me, even if I know I'm going to be paying.

If I feel chemistry with the girl and there'll obviously be a 2nd date then I usually say something like "I'll get this one, you can get the next one". If I have no interest in her then it's 50/50.
