The problem is your focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you in the face. I think the next time you should ask yourself "Am I on the right track here?". I don't mean to be rude but people like you I really pity. So maybe you could use the few brain cells you have and take advantage of the knowledge I have given you now. Good luck.

That is about the age most peoples dreams of changing the world die and they realize they are just average.

For most this will last 5-10 years before they accept it. You stop trying to impress everyone else and realize we all have problems, and that is ok. You start living again if you didn't totally lose it to stress.

If you did, you are probably 50 pounds overweight, balding/greying, you have high blood pressure, and possibly divorced. You definitely stopped lifting. Time to start that back up and realize the long game is where it is at.

day by day slowly trading away the person you use to be for a bright set of clothes, a professional demeanor, and a name tag on the wall of some company that loves you.

Spend 40 hours a week practicing anything and you'll get damn good at it in a few years. Spend 40 hours a week grinding through the days with business banter and monotonous tasks that deplete any energy to accomplish your real dreams and soon you'll find that you've become good at being the person that can only do those things.

Luckily there's never been a better time to say **** it and take the scary leap that will make you happiest

Sometimes you got to put it in context with the rest of the world. Other day I found out a close friend of a friend's Farther was diagnosed with cancer, stage 2 to stage 4 in like a few months and passed away. The other day, I hoped in my car, drove around the coast, grabbed a burger, and thought "wow just doing this is pretty lucky". It's all relative, I am not saying we don't have a legitimate reason to not be happy with the grind but it could be A LOT worse for most people. 9-5 in a sh*tty job is mechanical but if you keep your lifestyle in check you can summont he energy to do other stuff, sports, hobbies, whatever.

Then again if you take too many beatings, let's say a guy 9-5 after a divorce, alimony, going bald, I can see how it starts to pile and sap your soul. I think though many people complain when their life is actually desirable by a lot more less fortunate people. Don't let a boring life snowball, things like becoming a fat c*nt, eroding your eyes with the internet, not doing any outdoor activities etc will just pile on and you will be in a hole you can't get out of and just "settle".

I LOVE my adult life. I enjoy my job and I like having a schedule. Being a kid was great, but I love the freedom I have know and I love the time I spend with my friends. The last thing I would ever want to do is go back to college. Sh*t was the worst four years of my life.

If you guys are miserable, something needs to change. You either need to find a hobby, a new job, or start participating in more health-benefiting activities (exercising, meditation, hang out with friends, etc.).

Real life sucks, lifting, video games and getting high helps me to cope, some people throw a wife and kids in the mix, but these people look even more stressed out so I will just pass on that, I do have a plan I am saving hard to retire on some island with exotic sloots, so I just lift and smash all day.

We, especially in the USA, have ingrained workslave lifestyle into our labor force, what used to be once a part of your life, consumes most of us, especially with megacorps being open all the time etc, back in the day things just were not open as much and people had a greater work/home balance.

sadly I don't think it's going to change unless future technology can remove scarcity and allow people to work less for the same purchasing power.

The real question is how are so many people hanging in there?

All their life they have had hopes and dreams. They went to school, and got an education. They got a full time job making a comfortable amount of money. They played by the rules, and never really wronged anyone. They wake up one day and walk to their bathroom, and stare back at their bed. They see an overweight woman they now call wifey, and an ugly maltese that they never wanted. They look into the mirror and see their hair is thinning, and water is being retained in their face from all the sodium in their diet because wifey makes them a nice tv dinner after a long day at the office. They splash cool water on their face to wake them up from their dream, but the only dream they are in, is in the american dream.

This doesn't sound so bad actually

That's why its awesome though. The meaning of your life is what you assign to it.

Most people over 25 have no fukin idea what to do other than wagecel and rot at home on the weekends and contemplate the 'meaning' of life. Nobody is ever happy with what they have, always want cooler car, bigger house, whatver. Key to being happy is to work as hard as you can for a few years until you are making near 100k/year in a job that isn't very demanding, automate saving for your future so you don't stress about that, don't waste all your money keeping up with other people (who are caught in the 'buy cooler things than I have for no reason other than I'm supposed to loop'), and life is pretty good.

tldr; they are caught on the hedonistic treadmill (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedonic_treadmill) resulting in constant stress
Don't get caught on it and you win.

Life is Beautiful!

You younglings just haven't lived long enough to realize this.

There is SO MUCH out there waiting for you to GRASP IT!

I never thought when I was a youngling that I would ever look like my avi.

As my 54th birthday approached I decided I wanted to see my abs for THE FIRST time in my life.
I was a skinny fay guy. I put my mind to it and accomplished it. I've been able to see them since.

In August 2009 I had met a friend who encouraged me to compete with him for the first time, he saw something in me I hadn't.
In November 2009 I had to have colon surgery, a polyp that would eventually turn cancerous had to be removed. While lying in the hospital I had an epiphany I decided to take a stab at competing.
In 2011 at 58 i competed in Masters over 50 Bodybuilding I took second. My friend said when I came backstage I looked like a kid at Christmas..it was a blast.

I have since competed three more times eventually hitting my goal of taking first place in Masters Over 60 BB at the young age of nearly 62.

A week after this show my posing coach said this was the best shape he ever saw me, maybe the best shape in you life. I replied; "Yeah and it only took me 62 years!

Life is an adventure!

Go out and conquer your own little bit of it!

Have a Happy Forever!
She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

25-30 is that age where many people are starting careers, perhaps are married or are contemplating marriage, perhaps are about to have a child and perhaps have swallowed the red pill of life for the first time and makes them realize this is what I have to look forward to for the next 35-40 years.

after the initial shock phase, I guess we just accept it and move on, or LDAR and have the wifey take all you got, your money, your children and your soul, perhaps for some chad that will cheat on her later down the line. worst part is, you are paying child support to a chad who will probably use your money for himself.

Most adults arent really fkable by societys standards. Magazines, internet etc have really negatively influenced peoples expectations. The net effect is a lot of people go through life never being hit on, and never hitting on anyone in their league. I went from 120 pound unfkable dungeons and dragons playing trash, to ive had people ask if ive thought about being a male stripper. There is no dollar value you can assign to being sexually desired and physically attractive. Not chitting on people that its not realistic. They should chase money hobbies etc.

Short answer is processed food and ****ty sedentary lifestyles. I always say most people live to about 30 and walk around as zombies supported by pharmaceuticals the rest of their life.
we have not spent the last 65 million or so years finely honing our physiology to watch Oprah. Like it or not, we are the product of a very long process of adaptation to a harsh physical existence, and the past couple centuries of comparative ease and plenty are not enough time to change our genome. We humans are at our best when our existence mirrors, or at least simulates, the one we are still genetically adapted to live. And that is the purpose of exercise. - Mark Rippetoe
