My reflection in the mirror and/or pictures are what I use to know when I have acquired The Shredz.
Also other people's reaction to how I look helps too.
As my weight drops my maintenance calories are less.
I usually drop calories slowly as to keep my weekly weight loss around .5 to 1.5 pounds per week.
I usually start prep at around 2200 cal.
This time I will start a little higher maybe 2500 as I am leaner than I've been before at this weight.
My prep will begin at June 4.
I start my diet on a Sundays not like everyone else on Monday..huehue!
As long as I continue to drop weight at 2500 cal I will stay there. Once my weight loss stalls I will drop my calories. I usually will lower the amount of carbs for each day.
Towards the end of previous preps my calories would go down into the 1800's per day.
my last prep which entailed two shows 6 weeks apart I used keto style dieting for the last 4 weeks or so.
I came in more shredded for the second show, SEE AVI.
A week after that show at posing practice my coach said I was the best he ever saw me. Maybe even best best shape ever.
I usually will start with 25-30 minutes of cardio after weight training.
I will increase this either the duration or frequency as in adding cardio sessions on non lifting days.
Now Ive been eating between 2700 and 3000 calories.
I'm not being too strict right now as my posing coach wants me at 190 pounds by June.
Today I weighed 185.2
I've been staying in the 187's most days.
I did hit 190 last week for one day.
BRB; When I prep I can get really anal/OCD about this....

Eating frequently, eating sugar, eating clean, fasting, eating breakfast, eating outside, eating indoors, rain, snow, sleet.
You wonder why people kick you from a group chat the instant another person let's you in. It's because of this chit. Really not hard to figure out.

200.2 lbs!
I think Strict Keto is over, going timed keto. I am going to add 25g carb post workout 1 day a week. Try to keep calories about the same, been really bad tracking lately. I am hitting around 2k a day sometimes 2.5k depending on work.

Remember when he was 125lbs "eating 3.5-4k cals per day" but not gaining weight?
Unless he had a tapeworm, he wasn't eating 3.5k+ cals per day @125lbs and not gaining.
He's "estimating" calories aka rounding up in his head to make himself feel better in some fukkin g strange way.

I don't do bf% measurements,
Calipers are usually off by a few % points.
I've done bf% measurements before and each one varied. Drove me crazy.
I just use my reflection, other people's eyes and rarely pics.
Mirror, Mirror on the wall.
Who's the most shredded of them all?

For the folks that are cheating every week; seriously, how is your progress? When I get down to 10%, cheating every week is out of the question. I don't know how so many people get away with it unless they are starving themselves all week long. If I were to calculate a cheat every week, my daily intake would be way too low and I would not be able to tolerate it. My cheats come every 4 weeks or longer, depending on how I am feeling, progress, and where I am to my goal and goal date.

When I fail to keep to my diet it's on me not the food or the process. It's me I decided to eat that crap.

Ironically, one of the females that used to post on here just presented a research paper on the correlation between bodybuilders, eating disorders, and binge eating.
Some of you might follow her on Instagram, but I don't know if she wants her bodybuilding.com account tied it with her Instagram account for privacy issues, so I don't want to post it on here unless she says it's OK.

Theres a huge difference between a "Cheat day" and binging. Anyone whos actually BINGED (IE ravenous stuffing of your face with never feeling "full") knows the difference.
The difference between being WEAK WILLED and SICK is very large.
The people who get pressured into a cupcake at the office vs the people who drive to the store for 10k calories in crap just to starve themselves the next day.....theres a huge difference between them
Bonappe falls under the sick category.

Until recently, I didn't realize eating disorders were so common with lifters. I know many tend to binge or just get extreme about certain things, but I just never thought about it as an eating disorder. Kind of like the guy/gal that weighs out the pickle slices on their sammich etc

Thats the reason Im so glad I stopped counting, my relationship with food is normal now. I eat what I want and am losing weight and not going to any extremes to do so. Back when I felt bad about going over 20cals on MFP - sad!
