OK...i can agree the republicans are equally as frooty as neo-liberals. What kills me is just how far lefties are these days. 20 years ago, Slick Willy Clinton said the EXACT same thing Trump says now and the dems are all of the sudden so shocked that he has the audacity to say such things. Wanting to put america first is racist. Protecting LEos and the military makes him a NAZI. But then again, 3/4ths of the population cant think for themselves. Whatever social media says is the truth and a hashtag has the ability to make everyone an intelligence Alpha

When it comes down to it, i'd rather live under republicans than democrats

I've been to America and they're stuck in the past.

Pushrod engines, everyone smokes, they still 'swipe' credit cards and their women have big hair like something out of Dynasty.

Disgusting.

Because of our founding fathers and the way our country originated. You should see how much patriotism flows through an area like Texas, a huge part of that is the result of the fact we were originally an independent country for a bit. America is the best country on earth, while it may have its problems, it is still the best on earth for anything you need in contrast to the rest of the earth.

I think he's talking about the contactless system vs swiping cards.

We use the contactless system to pay for daily stuff here.

We use the pin system for purchases above 30 bucks, so no swiping there either. Swiping is dead.

Aware me, what other country can you not own a home? I never knew the concept of a mortgage till I come to the US. I've always assume everyone owns their home outright and I come from a third world country.

They're not.

Especially today where any semblance of social cohesion between people is lower than it's ever been. , and you have "Citizens" burning the flag.

Ironicaly enough the most "patriotic" people I've seen are the people who come from the biggest sh!tholes on Earth. Even funnier when they leave that sh!thole only to come to a firstworld nation insulting it's customs, way of life while benefitting from it immensely. The cherry on top is when they talk about how much better (insert name of sh!thole they left) is.

Americans might only be more patriotic than Europeans, who are only allowed to show patriotism during major Football tournaments. Any other patriotism/flag waving is seen as racist/nazi type behavior.

Look around for that pic on what % of people would be willing to bleed for their country. All the first world nations were the lowest.

Admittedly, kicking these ugly ass Brits outside of America must have been a particularly satisfying feeling.

We don't use swiping anymore either. We have a chip system now that makes it a lot harder to create fake cards. We had touch systems for a while, but they aren't as secure.

Imagine a country who has had a decisive role in the two world wars
Imagine a country who was the first to develop and use nuclear weapons
Imagine a country who had the responsibility to intervene in every major conflict around the world since the First World War, and did it, leading the establishment of the current world order (for good or for bad)
Imagine a country who saved your country (if you not American), directly or indirectly, from being a Soviet ****hole (particularly if you are European)
Imagine a country who had only one Constitution since its establishment, and all presidents were elected by the very system described in this Constitution
Imagine a country who became the largest economy in the world in less than 150 years after its independence and has the world's largest and most innovative companies
Imagine a country that is one of the most politically stable in the world, where people can enjoy freedoms they cannot everywhere else, including complaining about why they think this very freedom does not really exist
Imagine a country who has more Nobel laureates than any other
Imagine a country who has more universities in any reputable ranking among the best in the world
Imagine a country who has won more gold medals in the Olympics
Imagine a country whose people invented the computer you use, the internet, smartphones, and almost everything that comes with it
Imagine a country who was able to put the man on the moon
Imagine a country whose currency is the world reserve currency

Yes, it is hard to understand why Americans are so patriotic.
