def will agree on this one.

my dead max is @ 455lbs and I haven't trained deads in 6 months…

I've been doing rack pulls from slightly below the knee to hit the back, minimizing the risks that deadlifts propose.

Also been training in the 8-12 rep range (6 IS the heaviest I'd go) for quite some time too and noticed results just off that.

That's not to say I'm NOT strong either, but I'm not powerlifter strong.

THIS IS bodybuilding @ the end of the day right? w.e tears fibers and promotes growth.

Only reason I deadlift is to compete in a powerlifting meet sometime next year. After that I think I'll transition to bodybuilding (or really get into combat sports idk).

I love super setting deads and pullups. Blitz's my entire back. Not a good combo for fatties or twinks though. Also enjoyable humiliating all the high school try hards dropping the weight for attention when I'm warming up with their max.

agreed

but if you look like you lift, then by all means deadlift your heart out

also LOL when skinny dudes put 225 on the bench and then distort their bodies into some hellish looking demonic arch and press with a 1inch ROM

Ask any accomplished bodybuilder and they will tell you that they are STRONG, and no *******s, it doesn't mean they didn't focus on strength and still got strong, it means they focus on strength gains in high rep ranges. brb kai green is not strong because he only lifts heavy in high rep ranges.

logic, not even once.

and when you post my avi, I will remind you that doesn't automatically make any accomplished bodybuilder weak.
Wtf are you on about? Nobody is saying hitting the 130's for 20 on flat dumbbell bench, incline pressing 225x20, squatting 315x20, etc. isn't strong. Any powerlifter that knows what they are doing starts off training cycles hitting higher volume sets in the 6-12 range, and then tapers down to triples, etc. because that is literally the best way to peak. You may lurk the misc and think you know what you are talking about, but maybe you should hit the weightroom once or twice.

You're fowl statements aren't toxic at all? Even though you may be correct, at least give examples of how your idea works so others can improve their physiques. I like your ideas, but you don't have anything for me to work from.

If you injure yourself doing this lifts you're lifting improperly. IF you learn proper form and lift without ego involved you will not injure yourself.

squats and deads are great but consistency and progression are more important, and you cant be consistent or progress to heavier weights with a broken back.

I'm not mad, I just don't understand why you would even care. IF people have different goals than me, I don't get upset at them. If you wanna use roids, get big, but can't lift what I can on deadlifts, I don't make fun or laugh, I just don't care

I think you should reconsider your stance in this argument. Look at ideas from a different angle to broaden your mind. When understanding the counter argument you can therefore make valid conclusions while understanding why some may disagree with your views.
