Yeah im screwed

I hardly hang out with anyone these days, nobody to talk to most of the time unless I'm on the forums. Before I would cope with Mary J, but now that I'm sober it's really getting to me. No motivation to do anything anymore, life just sucks when there's nobody around to hang with.

This thread just reminded me that I literally haven't left the house in 3 days, and the last person I talked to was a customer service rep for my bank on the phone 2 days ago.

Thanks

Thanks
You're welcome.

You need to leave the house, and/or have friendly interactions with people regularly. From experience, my mind used to become 'strange' (I didn't realize until I had friendly interactions) when I would have a few days of with friendly interaction. I think friendly/positive interaction (when allowed to be assimilated/internalized) is grounding for the psyche.

Lmfao I don't give a shiit. I'd rather kill myself than chase people. No one ever hit me up 1st, not hitting no one up 1st.

Also on the topic of women - they would rather die a painful agonising death than fuk with a man of low status, finance or low genetic stock just FYI. Make no mistake, women are significantly more shallow than men.

See above the woman with the leg avi proving my point.

That feel when alcoholic with no friends who also chews. Looking toward an early death

I don't really feel lonely though. I still have family and usually have at least one girl I'm talking to/fuking. I just have 0 close friends. I do get some socializing with coworkers while at work. I was definitely happier when I had close friends but I have yet to meet any bros who I could see myself being great friends with

I have little to no problems making friends but I usually let my own insecurities, self-doubt and pride be the reason I push away from them. I'm no easy person to be friends with and my behavior shows that I don't appreciate people who are patient and caring enough to work with me. I will often tell people to not hear me out or be for rekindling any friendships if I apologize for anything I've done because I'll most likely just lose it then cut them off again. I have pushed away from most of my close friends. I don't do it because I have problems with them, but because I have problems with myself.

I purposely have an empty phone contact list. I feel that people are better off without me in their lives because I can't see why I'm worth it so I'm usually afraid if any relationship moves past the "acquaintance" level. This is especially true if it's with a single female I really get along with. If I meet a single female and I develop any feelings for her outside of a regular male-female friendzone, I usually end up cutting contact with her within 10 months after meeting her.

A part of me doesn't even want to be alive and I see myself being dead or in jail by 30 at the latest anyways. I definitely struggle with the loneliness at times, but at the end of the day I can say that I was hurt by no one, only I can hurt myself, and I don't deal with feeling like people only contact me out of pity.

Sorry to read about your insecurities brah.

I can empathize from experience with attachment avoidance.

Because you've expressed suicidal thoughts, I would strongly advise seeing a therapist who you resonate with, who works with emotions (not just simply changing the way you think about experiences, and behaviour, which IME is common). Alongside doing personal development stuff in your own time.

I started dealing with psychologists and psychiatrists when I was around 14 years old. The one psychologist I've been working with since 2015 does a bit of what you alluded to. He tries and there has been improvement, but ultimately I'm stubborn and hardheaded and admittedly don't go 100% into most self-improvement because, again, a part of me doesn't want to be alive.

I'll put it like this:
- One main part of me actually wants to improve my quality of life. This part is motivated by anger, arrogance, pride, making my mother happy because I believe she wants to see me do better etc.
- The other main part of me just wants to give up on life and die but I love my mother so much that I wouldn't want to do that because I know she would be crushed if I were to die. I also fear the consequences of a failed suicide attempt like being even more messed up than I already am. I also wonder what people would think if I were to take my own life. It's funny, anxiety and worry are a part of why I want to kill myself but they also in preventing it.
- These two parts can be 50/50, 75/25, 25/75, 90/10, 67/33 etc.

I agree with this; even though I may be a little biased to this post because I am extremely pessimistic, as well as a realist.

My problem with coming to these inferences is that I tend to have really bad internal dialogue over not being good enough; and it isn't really fair to my psychology, since I had no freewill over my genetics or class status.

Te first sentence is extremely prevalent to my outlook on how approach relationship building. Chasing people around is something I refuse to do. Too much effort needs to be put into relationships, and it usually is one sided from my end, where I am putting all the work in and there is no reciprocation.

I am adjusted to loneliness though; I've spent large increments of my life alone, and it shaves more time off my life I welcome that.

Good on you for seeking professional help, even if you aren't giving it your all. You go to the sessions, and are still here, so the part of you that wants to live is stronger.

And good on you for thinking about the impact upon your family, to stop you.

Consider this too... There's is a possibility(a possibility)that reincarnation is real (i.e. cases of kids who remember past lives, with verifiable details. Also near death experiencers who report being told that it can occur), so, you might come back. And be have a similar set of experiences, that lead you to this point, for you to grow (in regards to benevolence and compassion, towards self and others). So, why not do your best, and become as resourceful as possible, to overcome your issues?

Do you do other things to better your psychological health like; exercise, and eat clean?

As far as family, it's mainly my mother. I was raised by a single mother. My father left before I was born and went to make a new family, and quite frankly I hope he dies a slow and painful death in front of them. I'll throw a party when he dies. As much as I hate my father is as much as I love my mother.

Yeah, of course. I watch my diet (meal planning, scheduled cheat days, intermittent fasting etc.) and I'm in the gym at least 3 days a week. A lot of the people I've met during in the last few years have been from whatever gym I was at. The gym and school (despite the stress I've associated with it) are the two main things that I can look at and think "Maybe I'm not just some lost cause who would be better off dead."

Not going to write an essay, but holy hell its demoralizing when you find people you thought were "good friends" that are really anything but friends. So many competitive, jealous, insecure people out there, in my case it's been hard to find quality friends who won't stab you in the back rather than have your back.

The only people that has called me this week was my mom, older sibling, and some scammers. I have no life seriously. I miss college where I had people contacting me all the time. They weren't friends though. My dating/love life is completely dead. At least I have work, gym, concerts, and Netflix as distractions.

Same background as me. I understand the anger and hurt.

For me a lot of it is based in being rejected by your own father. Not having his masculine guidance and presence in your life, to help you become a man and psychologically support you in life.

Good on you for having a healthy lifestyle.

I understand how tough it is, and that there are no quick-fixes, so I hope you give yourself appreciation for all that you are doing to help yourself.

One thing I can strongly suggest for improving psychological health, (if you don't already have one) is having and feeding a meta-narrative that gives you inspiration and guidance.

Secular, spiritual/religious, or mythical (eg. Joseph Campbell's the Power of Myth) - a story that resonates with you that gives you ideals, values, consolations, and appreciation.

When I was going through my darkest period, having a meta-narrative really helped.

This is what I mean by a meta-narrative...

And FWIW, I was recently listening to a PUA called Owen Cook (I love listening to his thoughts on personal development, and society), and he said something that I also found to be true. When your core values are benevolence and compassion (I don't embody them, but I hope to) you seem to get more motivation and 'luck', than if your intention is framed around the self...

Would rep you again if I could. My favorite poster here man.

Im an old fukk...and Ive never been FA, but I do have problems with intimacy and trust. Take my girlfriend for example (Ive called her my wife on here but shes just my GF for now, wanna get married but da funds doe), shes great and everything Ive ever asked for, literally. From her physical appearance to her personality, I simply COULD NOT ask for anyone better for my old azz. But, and not unlike other examples in my life, it seems I try to find problems where there are none to be found. I think this stems from a subconcious thought of "Im not good enough" or "I dont deserve that". Since I have started trading, I have read a lot about the subconcious and how it plays tricks on you and makes you do/say sabotaging things and it is spot on.

I have wondered where this fear of abandonment comes from and I dont know. My parents are and have always been around. I was always pretty popular in school and pretty good with the ladies. But in my adulthood, every time it seems that I am getting close to someone, or the conversation is getting too intimate, I back away. Doesnt matter who it is...even my own brother.

Things have only gotten worse since I started trading. I have realized that my old friends (save a few) were nothing but negative, always trying to 1 up eachother in everything instead of encouragement. So I have since cut everyone off, and its me, the wifey and the two kids. Even with my oldest son I feel like a failure because I KNOW I could do better with him, but it just seems like its ME FIRST ALWAYS and the only thing that matters to me is trading, everything else comes second. Kinda got off track there, but reading this thread hit me in the feels because I took something out of every post that I have personally experienced.
