Kids born after us, especially today's generation will never know the un-fckwithable awesomeness that was going to the mall in the 80s.

BRB you're a kid and your parents take you, feels like a whole universe of amazing chit to look at

BRB a little older, go to the arcade and a movie before your parents pick you up

BRB can drive now, walk around buying cool chit before hanging with your friends at the food court.

This pic is an 80's pic of the mall where I grew up. Just LOOKING at this hammers me with nostalgia - can imagine EXACTLY how it smelled, can hear the sound of the waterfall we'd thrown coins into, etc etc etc.

There was a carousel and my parents would take us there on Sunday afternoons to ride it. I would give pretty much anything I own in this world to be 7 years old and riding that carousel with my parents again, feeling like a kid.

I was born in '91 and I can relate to all that. All of that didn't really start to change until early 2000s.

Parents are afraid to let kids go anywhere, they stay inside playing on the iPad and just constantly want to play more iPad. To be fair, when I got my first Nintendo or handheld video games I always wanted to play it too. But my parents wouldn't let me - I'd spend 90% of my time outside building treehouses and playing with the other kids.
This, my parents only let us 3 boys play our SNES for an hour if we did all our chores and it was night time. Otherwise we where riding bikes, making BMX parks, floating the canals, firecracker shenanigans, sneaking boone's farm swigs, ding dong ditch and bugging the one friend with a trampoline to use it but they never wanted to (fuker) you know kid ****....now when I'm home and take the kiddos to the park they're literally the only ones there it's so odd.
