It’s one of these “chit happens” protection things.

As far as your complete lifetime financial portfolio goes, life insurance is pretty cheap.(once you get wealth umbrella liability also).

That being said sometimes “chit happens”

Major life events or medical diagnoses that can change that drastically or even make it unattainable. I.e Cardiovascular problems , cancer diagnosis etc

If all things are the same in health and wellness then you are correct.

But locking it in early isn’t expensive and checking that box in life off so if you do have kids you are covered and never have now worries.

Now if you are years away from having kids that might be different.

The lack of stress from peace of mind you get from adequate life insurance when you have kids as well worth it.

I've tended to enjoy what this author's writing about the market. He tends to be right more often than wrong. Basically he suggests with Europe and Japan stopping fiscal stimulus, larger funds are looking to sell and take profits. What could and will turn the market around will be 1st quarter results for companies and GDP number. Those results are expected to be very good.

I wasn't aware of your medical incident. With all respect and deepest sympathies I offer you my sincere wishes for health and happiness.

Also apologies for a comment I made about a week ago about you being off your meds. I was not aware of your medical problems and my comment was a generic barb, not a targeted comment.

The comment was out of line and I apologize for it.

I don’t need my money in the market for decades. It’ll be worth more then, buy and hold is the way to go. Impossible to time the market.

Edmond de Rothschild is selling property in Switzerland, including five offices in Geneva. The proceeds? A three-digit million Swiss franc sum.

Thats just a few of their recent liquidations. This family literally owns the banks around the world, was worth 500 trillion dollars, why are they having to sell prime real estate that has been in their family for hundreds of years?

I guess its just CT nonsense....

It’s funny how the Dow can make moves one way or the other and threads pop up everywhere.

But stuff like recent yield spikes and dollar value movements happening and it’s crickets.

The part where they have ever been worth $500t is total nonsense. I won't even go into the million reasons why this is absurd, beyond the fact that global GDP is around $100t and that you can't find one Rothschild worth more than $2b on a Forbes list. But blah blah blah, conspiracy, deep state, illuminati, ect.

Yes I'm sure it's possible there is some financial pressure causing them to liquidate things... but they are nowhere near being worth trillions. They aren't even close to among the richest people in the world.

They like to stay off those lists evidently... And true their exact worth is unknown, wikipedia does say this:

"The Rothschild family of bankers might be the world's richest family, accumulating wealth since their rise in the 19th century; there have been controversial attempts to estimate the Rothschild wealth, with figures ranging from US$ 1.5 billion (Forbes) to US$ 400 billion.[citation needed] "

"During the 19th century, the Rothschild family possessed the largest private fortune in the world, as well as the largest private fortune in modern world history"

The Forbes list should not be an indicator because being included in that list is voluntary on the people who opt to be included in the list. If you opt out, you won't be included in the list
