Also, why TF would someone in their 20's be worried about "locking in rates" on term insurance? A 250k term policy for a 25 year old and a 35yr old are marginally different at best.

As far as your complete lifetime financial portfolio goes, life insurance is pretty cheap.(once you get wealth umbrella liability also).
That being said sometimes “chit happens”
Major life events or medical diagnoses that can change that drastically or even make it unattainable. I.e Cardiovascular problems , cancer diagnosis etc
If all things are the same in health and wellness then you are correct.
But locking it in early isn’t expensive and checking that box in life off so if you do have kids you are covered and never have now worries.
Now if you are years away from having kids that might be different.
The lack of stress from peace of mind you get from adequate life insurance when you have kids as well worth it.
Hypothetically if I didn’t have my sizable amount locked in before this, how would it go for me?

I've tended to enjoy what this author's writing about the market. He tends to be right more often than wrong. Basically he suggests with Europe and Japan stopping fiscal stimulus, larger funds are looking to sell and take profits. What could and will turn the market around will be 1st quarter results for companies and GDP number. Those results are expected to be very good.

Also apologies for a comment I made about a week ago about you being off your meds. I was not aware of your medical problems and my comment was a generic barb, not a targeted comment.
The comment was out of line and I apologize for it.

Thats just a few of their recent liquidations. This family literally owns the banks around the world, was worth 500 trillion dollars, why are they having to sell prime real estate that has been in their family for hundreds of years?

I'm not really sure. They don't exactly put out press releases. But its not to fund a mission to mars or something good for mankind. It will probably make sense once we learn more in the coming weeks and months.

Yes I'm sure it's possible there is some financial pressure causing them to liquidate things... but they are nowhere near being worth trillions. They aren't even close to among the richest people in the world.
