Usually mountain Lions run the **** away and hide from people walking in a trail. That one is a cheeky mofo. I'd fight it though, I can crush its face in one blow of my open carry baseball bat. After that the people's elbow will finish it. The Masai twinks kill actually african Lions that pussy has no shot

Humans are apex predators. A well built athletic man would have a decent chance of winning in a face to face fight, especially if it was a smaller female mountain lion like in that video, running away is suicide. Now if it was a real lion, tiger, or jaguar a human has no chance either way, but I would still go out fighting not running.

Id get behind him and grab his tail... like a snake... ever seen a cat chase it's tail? Here is a hint they never catch it! After he was good and tuckered i'd throw him over my left shoulder (right one has some old injuries) and relocate him somewhere safer.... preferably near running water in case he is thirsty from all this tom foolery we set out on together.

every single one of our behaviors suggests that we are prey
brb anxiety
brb hiding poop, toilet hygiene
brb not wanting to be loud
brb generally avoid fighting
brb social, herd creatures
brb no fur, low T, no horns, no claws
brb empathy and emotion
brb low body fat = attractive
Think about it bro. We are prey creatures who ended up developing enough intelligence to hunt and kill our predators. Strip the herd and your tools away and you are nothing but food vs a mountain lion -- doesn't matter how athletic you are.

Best thing to do is to charge the cougar, 9 out of 10 times it runs, if it stands its ground then you use your strength advantage to overpower it and choke it out, snap its neck. You probably will get scratched up but as long as you dont let it bite your neck your good. They aren't when it comes to going toe to toe with a cougar.

This may come as a surprise to you, but intelligence is a huge factor in survival.

Running or turning your back is literally the worst thing to do with any predatory animal, it instantly projects you as prey. Only thing to do is stand your ground & prey it doesn’t fuk you up then go for any vulnerable area like eyes or genitals if it attacks.

Not a mountain lion but looks can be deceiving.
EDIT: After watching it again the angle on the rope might make a big difference but I'm not sure

Different animal and all, but I was running in the woods near my place, there were a few coyotes that came out in a clearing I was in, we stared at each other for about 10 seconds then I sprinted after them, got em to bolt into the woods.
While I'd like to at least have a knife on me, I would probably do the same for a mountain lion.

Dunno why some say cougars are light. The internet says weight ranges from 53-100KG. That's a huge cat. Animals also have much better CNS recruitment and the claws would make quick work of you. It won't go for your legs either and instead your face or neck.
