Is it moral for the doctor to just take one healthy human (say perhaps, you), and kill them, and use each of your 6 organs to save the other 6 people? lol don't think many would agree this is a moral action, and society clearly doesn't think so either.
Classic thought problem. I'd say the best practice in isolation is to harvest those organs -- it does the most good.

The problem becomes if society is aware of this function, it leads to larger problems, distrust, vigilantism, etc., thus this is not a good solution in practice, and we don't want to live in that society.

We don't really know if oP had such implications in mind or if it's an isolated button pressing never to be understood or repeated. I suppose that makes a difference.

I have a strong belief in what goes around comes around. Karma type thing. To take someone's life for a monetary gain, I don't want that coming back around.

Deal. I'll go to a kill shelter every 5 years and adopt a dog that's about to be put down, give him a great 5 years of life, and collect my money.

Just out of curiosity, would your opinion change if say the 6 dying people were very frail and elderly (maybe like 95 yr olds), and the healthy person whose organs to be taken was a young 10 or 18 yr old?
(medicine is not my field and I'm not sure about the logistics of transplanting young organs to very old people, it is just a thought experiment and assume it can be done).

I get the greater good for more people thing, but I think many (including me) would find something fundamentally wrong about a doctor deliberately killing one person against their will to save 6 others. Even on the grounds of freedom alone......people might have a slightly easier time accepting that someone couldvoluntarilygive up their life to save 6 others, but not against their will, in which case there is a lack of freedom.

Zero times unless I could be guaranteed it would be someone who didn't say zero. Then I'd press it until they were all gone and use the money to rescue dogs.

What if that other person who didn't say zero pressed it for the exact reason you did...only because yetanotherperson didn't say zero. Then the middle person's reasons for pressing it seem a little more innocent, and in fact would be equivalent to your own reason for pressing it

What if instead of pressing the button, you have to stab someone to death? How is that any different?

same reason why most people eat meat and have no problem throwing it in the garbage can but rage when they see a hunter shoot a deer.

I Googled "How fast can you click" and played one of those simple games. I clicked with one finger at a speed I feel I could keep up for as long as I wanted, and got about 500 per minute. That means it would take me 2000 minutes to click (tap) a million times, which is 33.33 hours, so about 2 days plus 2 hours if I'm stopping for necessities and 8 hours sleep. And we can assume that I would do this until my very last breath on Earth.

I'm not even a religious person, but I don't think I could do it.

The chances of the random person dying actually deserving it is pretty damn slim.

Anyways, knowing my luck, I'd press that button once and I'd end up killing myself.

Yes, I think it definitely depends on the individuals in question. Theoretically we could give some exact quantity to their remaining lives (with some potentially being negative.) Obviously we can't do that now and we surely wouldn't agree on how to define this, but I think at some future point we could. Then it just becomes a math problem. 1 person could be > 6 in some instances.

Thought problems like this are interesting, and our intuitions don't always align with what makes logical sense. (Not staying you are wrong or right, just noting.)

A similar example: you have to choose to either wipe out a 5000 person village you've never heard of in some country you have never been to, or lose one member of your immediate family. It's hard to rationalize trading one life for 5000, but I'm guessing most people would save their one family member over those people they'd never meet or even be aware of.

Perhaps there is some argument to be made that the fact we value our family over others is important to human development or something, but at what point do the numerous outsiders equal one insider?

I don't claim to have an answer, but interested in how people would look at this.
