3. they are funny / entertaining and also have one of the above two traits thrown in there

4. they are a girl

And these guys actually worked hard, so they deserve everything they gain from it. Beats all these internet strippers who just have to have a hot body, and then immediately gain fortune, fame, and an audience.

I just don't understand the need to donate just so the guy reads your name on screen for 5 seconds and says thanks. or donate to a girl thinking you'll end up meeting her and living happily ever after or some ****. the popular guys you can't even get a word in because the chat and donations are so chaotic. You seem to assume everyone donates because they want to gain something from it. No doubt some people are like that, but I'm sure a lot of people donate because they feel the guy earned it, not because they care about having their name on screen for 5 seconds (I guess that's an added bonus for some though). Although I do agree that the WK guys donating to a titty streamer probably shoot their load when she reads out their name.

most people trash on the big streamers but they put in so much work. Most of them have been streaming for 5+ years or competitive gaming for longer. Twitch has exploded in the past couple of years its insane. I dont watch Ninja since I dont watch fortnite but if you spend enough time watching streams you can see why these guys are on the top compared to less popular streamers when it comes to skill, entertainment etc

I agree, it takes a lot of work. Some of these guys miss meals and lose sleep over it but you shouldn't classify it as a sport, it's simply video gaming.

TWITCH did start out like that. Now easily half is all about setting up fake personal bonds, spamming meme culture, softcore cam shows etc. People with not even average skills are getting massive donations, so it's more like a reality channel "with a bit of gaming" in the background.

But yes there are still legitimate pros, just it's such a smaller percentage now compared to the fluff. But hey, people create multi millionaires out of someone who only released a sex tap, so you can't blame them when society enables profit from celeb worshiping. What's worse are people using twitch emoji triggers outside of TWITCH, it just reminds me why I am glad I don't go there anymore - well very, very rarely.

And LukeS1 most of it is 1. They want to be noticed by the viewers and host. Same deal with people spending 10-12 hours a day hoping they get TWITCH mod etc. 2. They want to live vicariously through that host 3. They think it's setting up a personal friendship/connection.

Exactly. The real trash people should criticize are SSSniperwolf, Pink Sparklez, STPeach, and that dumb 5/10 sloot that twerks on stream. They offer no interesting content other than the fact they're really hot. They know their viewer base is young and easy to manipulate.

Just saw SSSniperwolf claiming she solo'd herself into Overwatch's top 500, when in fact she got carried by some very good players who are largely unknown in the gaming community. Just lmao..

This is true as well.

Ninja grinded Halo for YEARS before literally being LUCKY at being an early adopter of the next big game. If he didn't get into Fortnite early he would just be your average fortnite streamer right now.
