Well. The way it works is this. I have a small 2-door car, so it doesn't take much "trash" to "fill it up". In fact if I put 1 paper towel on the passenger seat, car looks "full" lol.

So what I do is carry a small disposable bag full of paper towels. As a mechanic, I don't throw away paper towels unless they are TRULY USED like soaking sopping wet. So these are old towels that still look pretty clean that I just haven't used yet.

if I park somewhere shady, I simply spread out my crumbled up towels throughout the car. So it looks like 'garbage'. In reality its hiding all my tools, wiring supplies, spare parts, I carry all kinds of stuff as spares and tools to work on cars. Every tool is weighed and easy to remove, its just handy to have around 75lbs max of additional tools and parts. I carry spare fuel pump, belt, plugs, wires, and sometimes a battery booster and a spare tire. If I goto Mcdonalds recently I can also have one of those brown paper bags to spread out also. those are fun trash. I also leave one of those ancient phones, you know before flip phones came out. Yeah really old unit. That sort of completes the disguise.


It serves 2 functions. 1 is nobody wants to steal anything in the car. 2 is people will generally take 1 look inside the interior, see the 'garbage' and the stock-auto shifter and assume the car is untouched/original.

As to exterior. yeah it has some dings. But what I really love doing is putting $1 walmart paint on it, acrylic that comes off with water/rubbing. I paint little "damages" on the outside of the car, 'hairline fractures' things that from a distance look like it was hurt. And up close looks just as wtf. some 'racing stripes' down the back bumper to cover the holes from when I backed into an engine once or twice.

idk its just my style. Looks slow and mal-maintained... surprisingly well put together.

Actually about the opposite for me.. I recently got a C5 Vette (nothing special).. I just like to beat on it and love having fun in cars.. hate when people say "nice car" because in reality it is cheaper than most normal new sedans out there right now.. I absolutely hate when I see older people driving new c7 vettes 5mph below the speed limit though.. never understood the whole old people and Corvettes.. brb super low to the ground.. uncomfortable.. pure performance car.. yet old fuarks buy them to lake cruise

On the other end of the spectrum, I have a quite a few brahs that drive Vettes (c5, c6) and selected those cars strictly for the LS platform and the responsiveness to mods.















This is a tough questions because car guys will appear to be posturing (like with a Vette, or Built Mustang/Camaro) but they are "car guys" they drive those cars for the engines sound and pride of wrenching the car to get it to sound that way. I feel the only real losers are the ones who buy the flashy cars who aren't car guys, for the sole purpose of posturing... not passion.

I don't know how many people drive them purely for validation, all I know is if I find myself making enough money to drive nice af cars, I for sure will. Why wouldn't you drive these cars, if you could?:

I drives a Benz C250 here, grandparents bought a GLK SUV so they gave the old C250 to me.

Honestly I really don't care, I can just drive a good Acura if I want.

(But seriously tho, once you drive those kind of nice quality cars you never want to go below)

i had a friend that did. it was so sad to see because while the dude had some redeeming qualities, he would literally go up to girls in the club and say "i have a beemer"...
