The traditional mom jobs consists of the following: housekeeper, cook, day care center teacher, facilities manager, computer operator, psychologist, janitor, van driver, laundry machine operator, chief executive officer, bookkeeper, event planner, general maintenance worker, groundskeepers, interior design, logistics analyst, nutritionist, plumber and staff nurse.
The list for modern mom jobs is even longer: It includes the list above plus -- buyer, athletic trainer, photographer, social media marketing manager, academic advisor, tailor, recreational therapist, coach, tax accountant, judge, public school teacher, teacher vocational, education.

Social media marketing manager? Tax accountant?

Studies show that if you put a pricetag on everything a housewife does, it amounts to an income of more than $150,000.
This is if she cooks, cleans, etc. Not just stay home and watch soaps all day.

Well in a large portion of marriages, whether the woman works or not. The female has access to all of the finances and the husband typically puts his wants/dreams/goals on hold because his family comes first. How often is a man driving a brand new vehicle VS the wife? How often is a man buying new clothes vs his wife? How often is a man out buying things they want but don't need VS his wife? Oddly enough it seems like unemployed women have the worse spending habits and shop/spend money a lot more then employed women.
Assuming this guy is like you can't touch my finances but if you do XYZ I'll give you an allowance of ABC. Then its not a bad deal. I'd prefer to settle down with a woman with a professional career. But lets assume I don't lets look at what I'd expect to get out of an unemployed stay at home wife.
1. Up at 5:00AM to cook me breakfast every morning. Cooks a fresh lunch at 11:30 every single day and either brings it to me or has it ready at home. Cooks supper in the evening and has it ready for 7:00PM and on the table for me.
2. Cuts grass/edges/ up-keep the landscaping.
3. Washes/dries/folds/hangs/irons all laundry.
4. Cleans entire house. Dust/wipe down counters and mirrors, clean bathrooms, mops tile floors, polishes wood floors, etc.
5. Grocery shops/runs daily errands for all the house-hold necessities & opens/sorts the mail. Etc.
Assuming I was getting service like that from a female ^ it would be worth tossing her a few hundred bucks worth of spending money per week so she could shop/do whatever with her friends in her down time. Thing is, if she gets fat she's out the door. If she gets lazy and can't accomplish all of the above then its by by money. That's probably the ideal living situation assuming your finances are to a place where you can afford that ^. You have complete control over the relationship.

This kind of bullchit devalues the hard work that actual professionals do. I'm not saying a stay at home parent's job is not difficult, but it is difficult and valuable in different ways.
The idea of having an allowance is also really weird. If you don't trust your spouse making sound financial decisions, the solution is not playing Daddy.
Absolutely nothing wrong with being a SAHP. But hard eye roll at a Domestic Engineer's imaginary salary being 150,000.

On the flip side, working in offices, I've seen so many "Work Husbands." Im not saying they always end up cheating together; however, its not a huge outlier or anything.

The reality of it is that your wife, anyones wife is with them because of what the wife can gain from being with the person
But this works both ways, a man is with his wife because of what she can do for him
There's a selfish reality to how the relationship between the 2 works, the average person thinks "they care about eachother, therefore they're in a relationship"... that's true but it's not that simple... it's not that someone simply cares about someone, it's that they care about them in relation to how that effects their own life and their own feels. Love at it's root is selfish, just as all human actions/interactions are at their root.
So now that we have concluded that a person is with another person because of what that person does for them, selfish reasons.
Is it beta to know that your wife is only with your for your money? Depends if what she's essentially charging is worth it for you, and so that's relative from person to person
Understand that there's some men out there that are hideous, and their only means of having a beautiful wife is based on the amount of money they possess (99% of the time, a hideous brah gets lucky once in a while, it's not the norm, it's the outlier)
So Chads use their good looks, charming personality, and big dicks to attract women (In this case Chad is providing the woman with someone good to look at every day, a charming personality to make her smile, and a big dick to keep her satisfied) Think of this as Chad using a currency to get what he wants.
Now Timothy doesn't have good looks, charming personality, and he got a small dick... he started with zero currency... Timothy needs to acquire currency that he was not born with in order to get what he wants from the world... that currency is the money we use in everyday life
So simply put, both Chad and Timothy are using currency to acquire what they want, it's just that they're using a different type of currency. The Timothy has to earn his currency, the Chads currency was "god given"
Timothy has no other options but to essentially pay for a wife using the currency of money (if he wants 10/10 wife)
So to conclude, it's not beta, it's the only/easiest option some men have, you could even look at it in another way and say it's alpha... you're employing a woman to be your bish, tidy your house, make you food, pretend she enjoys it when you phuk her with your Timothy dick, etc...

Studies show that if you put a pricetag on everything a housewife does, it amounts to an income of more than $150,000.
This is if she cooks, cleans, etc. Not just stay home and watch soaps all day.

as hard as a stay at home mom's job could possibly be it's still a job that can be done in pajamas without giving the slightest bit of care into "getting dressed" for a job.

Sorry for the delay, I had work to do, but here you go
Forbes:https://www.forbes.com/sites/jennago.../#3f68181e75f4
Not so powerful dailymail:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...68-income.html
Business Insider:https://www.businessinsider.com/valu...me-moms-2013-5
Telegraph:https://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...ife-worth.html
I was off by a few thousand. But forget about the stats, let's dissect the numbers for ahardworkinghousewife. No, this does not mean someone who sits around and social medias it all day.
Traditional housewife duties:
- Dusting, cleaning the floors, cleaning the furniture, cleaning the bathrooms - everything is maintained in the house. I hired someone to do this in an EMPTY house (when I was vacating my previous home) and she charged $350 for 4 hours of work. And still the cleaning wasn't on par.
- Cooking - even if she's not Gordon Ramsey status, food preparation includes shopping for ingredients, prepping, cooking, then cleaning up after including washing dishes. Think about the costs associated with each of these jobs.
- Laundry - washing and ironing/folding, ONE button down shirt for dry cleaning costs approximately $3. Again, do the math.
I'm not adding in her supporting/caring for her husband, because that's done out of love alone. Now add kids and the costs associated with childcare.
Again, I think the duties of a housewife, if she does them properly, are far undervalued. I'm a housewife who chooses to work full time too. Whether or not I work, my primary job duties are the household work.

150k.... 115k... >20% discrepancy lol
C'mon now. Those articles are a joke and you are killing your own argument by posting them. Taking the average salary for people at the top of their field and extrapolating one or two responsibilities now means a housewife performs their role?
Muzzie pls.

Posted more articles.
Most of the articles are about women who have kids. Here's a graph showing the breakdown:

And we can argue forever about people who do 'jobs' yet are on the misc all day and/or on other social media. Do we want to place a dollar amount on how much they "truly" work?

People work full time jobs and don't even make 1/5th of that.
But cooking once or twice per day, and cleaning a house and doing laundry, which can be done in the luxury of your own home, and barely take up anytime at all, and can be done whenever you feel like it, and is easy work... is worth $150k?
Nope
So you'll say "But raising kids is a full time job"... yeah it's a full time job, but they're your kids and it was your decision to have them, and raising them is something you actually want to do. It would be different if you were raising someone elses kids/worked as a nanny.
You're obviously biased in your view, as you're a housewife, and you'll want to argue the point... but it's not worth 150k (by any objective measurement with is relative to what other people with jobs that earn them $150k require them to do)
