cliffs for those who are TL;DR

-Bunch of miscers jacking themselves off to their standards (men and women included)

like jayzuz, you guys think everyone will be into you? NO ONE WILL HAVE VARIOUS THINGS THEY LOOK IN A PARTNER or ARE AT DIFFERENT STAGES EI some want to just **** randoms, some want a FWB, some want a relationship, etc. There are a lot of variables when it comes to people so assuming that X+Y=Relationship you are incredibly wrong.

just worry about yourself, take chances, and see who or what finds their way into your life

I believe dating is like statistics. It's not impossible to land a Victoria Secret supermodel if you're an average guy, but it's a one in a million accomplishment. So, it's better to set your standards lower if you place a high value on getting married and having kids, otherwise you'll be waiting a long time hoping your long shot pays off. So, in that sense, there is no such thing as unreasonably high standards if you're willing to live with the consequences.

Charm, wit, being funny, etc. all play a larger role in attraction than the Misc thinks and any decent looking guy with a great personality can score 9's and 10's if that's what he wants and I'm all in favor of any advice the Misc has for bettering yourself toward that end.

What really interests me are the guys on RH who have an excuse for every possible explanation thrown out for why they consistently fail at just the initial attraction phase of dating and why the more that happens, the harder it gets for them.

I think a big component of this must be something others can pick up, but which they can't see themselves (or if they do see it, they don't see it as a fault). Which got me going down the road where maybe they can't see any faults in themselves, which opens the book on all sorts of traits associated narcissism.

So my interest is more about trying to understand and explain it, than putting the blame on anyone's shoulders. I'm pretty far from having it figured out though.

She likes large framed guys, rugby player types, even if they are carrying some fat. Think 6'+, big/strong, and young.

Not necessarily the model-type chiseled jaw Chad miscers are attracted to. I don't think her standards are that insane. But I'm sure those men she likes have plenty of other women who like them.

Silencespeaks, I think if you went to a rugby or football club, you could find some slightly older men with those traits.

Also, attraction isn't 0/10 or 10/10... there are degrees of attraction in between. Going from being attracted 10/10 to guy based on just looks to being attracted 7/10 to a guy based on looks, but 9/10 on everything else, is not settling or lower your standards unless ONLY looks matter to you.

Most? no. Some? yes.

Miscers who respond to rejection especially poorly. Miscers who expect life on easy mode just because they "deserve" it. Miscers who cannot accept any criticism. Miscers who are "better" than the women rejecting them. These are the ones who are likely narcissists. Supreme Gentleman sort of stuff. He acted out of narcissistic rage, but it's likely that his narcissism was also part of his problem attracting women.

I'm sort of interested in figuring out the A + B => C of this mechanism because I think if one can see it, one can "fix" it or "fake a fix" for it enough to get past their initial dating struggles.

All of my ex's sloot pack passed themselves as good girls with <5 dinks. Then I started digging and inquiring, and it turns out most of them "had a phase" or some other excuse where they ran through dozens of guys and were super reluctant to tell anyone about it. It's just the norm these days.

The other thing that makes it difficult is how subjective the 0-10 scale is.

Particularly with women. Women rarely agree on what Chad is while most men can agree on an HBB.

Silence’s type is the opposite of mine. I like lankier guys, pretty boy/boy band types with long hair and dreamy bedroom eyes.

But I also like nerds who wear glasses and blush. Women can have multiple types too which can be confusing for guys.

I’ve also noticed it’s not as easy to tell how people will react to your appearance when you’re not conventional looking (and I’m not, being mixed).

I could be someone’s 2, someone’s 5 and someone’s 7.5 all in the same day.

So you may think that 5 should be grateful to have your attention, but you never know if she’s someone else’s 7. People have all kinds of weird types and turn ons.

It’s best to not take rejection personally because there’s so many insane factors that go into it.

Idk if you’ve ever actually been on tinder or are you just going by what you’ve heard? If you go on it just to browse you’ll see plenty of normal professional people looking for relationships. Actually know two people irl who found a serious relationship on tinder. One is my cousin and looks like her relationship is heading toward marriage and kids. So yes that is possible.

You can tell most of the people posting in this thread live in large cities none of this applies once you go to more rural areas.

All of the guys I work with are pretty much totally disgusting and everyone gets laid all the time from irl and tinder. Lots of unnatractive girls but definitely some really good looking girls mixed in.

Money/status/drugs and they all come hand in hand with each other.

Some of these guys will say things to women I would never even imagine saying and sometimes it works.
One day scientists are going to kill us all.
