My moms been a second grade teacher for 35 years though. The stories I’ve heard...

I think you all are seriously overstating the ability of a child to understand the result of their actions. But then again most of your experience is probably based on dealing with your own kids. And since parents are the most deluded people on earth when it comes to their own kids, that isn’t surprising

Speaking as rationally as possible... this kid killed a 10 month old child. A 10 year old remembers a lot more than you think. This will be seared into her brain and could negatively affect her for the rest of her life.

I'm pretty primitive so I'd be voting to put her down.

this is old news, but....that girl needs serious punishment boy son of a boy

Son, I've had 10 yr old kids. Pretty soon I will have a 10 yr old granboy son of ass, they know damn well you shouldn't be stomping on a baby's head of ass. People who don't have kids greatly underestimate how morally mature a 10 yr old is. That girl needs to be smacked down hard boy son. The parent of the child needs to be killed, in ass of death. Son I am triggered in rage so hard because I know these cucks in the UK will give this girl an award for what she did, and pay her a stipend of $5k per month to help her get over her grief.

I am assed

i smack the piss out of the whole chit

Rest in peace to the baby and feel really sorry for the family. Can't imagine the pain they are going through.

The really demented serial killers start off torturing and killing animals at a very young age. Jeffery Dahmer was always going to turn out doing what he did since he was 5 years old or birth. Fukced up people, total disassociation to what they do and what others feel. That might be a 10 year old girl, but no, kids don't just do **** like this. I am not saying jail for life, but she should not be allowed to roam free.

You are right. She shouldnt serve any time. Thats a waste of resources. Better to end her life and remove her from this world.

Kind of this

It's not about punishment it's just about removing a threat from society, she's beyond help. Put her in a psych ward her whole life or w/e but point is she has to be removed before she can hurt others as an adult

Just gotta coddle minors until you get people like this walking free like they do in Japan

NSFL (don't click if easily disturbed):https://www.thescarechamber.com/44-d...-junko-furuta/

I don't think a child should do life in prison, however at 10 years old she is not clueless. I started babysitting my baby niece when I was 8 years old and my sister did the same for me at 8 when I was a baby. Children at that age are capable of understanding that a baby is a small human and needs to be taken care of unless they are messed up/legit psychopaths, there's a reason that cases like these are not common. Girl needs to be institutionalized.

By her own account the child panicked after dropping the baby. Panic indicates she has some understanding and is not oblivious.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Yeah she dropped the baby, panicked that she’d get in trouble when the baby started screaming and she tried to make it be quiet

That speaks to a the reactions of a child. Not a cold blooded murderer with a full grasp of actions, consequences, death, and murder.

That's one theory. We at least know for a fact that she understood that dropping the baby on the floor might have hurt him. Whether or not she understood that stomping on his head could result in hurting him even more is open to everyone's conjecture. Maybe she really did think it would simply shut him up. Maybe she was frustrated. Infants die all of the time from "shaken baby syndrome" caused by adults that just want them to shut up and stop crying.

Did you throw rocks at turtles as a kid or something? Stomping on a babies head is the act of a cold blooded murderer no matter your age.

I was 10 when my sister was born. I babysat her from infancy on. Never thought about stomping on her head or doing her physical harm. To do that, this kid must have shown other signs of violence and or some sign of something being off. So yeah, in that instance don't leave you kid out of sight with another child. Otherwise in most normal families, 10 year olds are fully capable of babysitting an infant.

I also didn't read the story cause being a mom, I can't read stuff like that. I did read the rest of thread and see she was in the foster system. She was probably abused and has known issues. So even more reason not to leave an infant in her care. The blame is mostly on the adults who left an infant alone with her. Just a tragedy all around due to negligence on the adults part.

Ah ok got it, like she understood what death is but didn't realize stomping on a baby's head until it was mush = dead. Makes sense

Haven’t read the thread yet so it’s probably already been mentioned, but some kids can have antisocial personality disorder (sociopathy/psychopathy) from a very young age. They lack empathy and normal emotional will torture small animals etc. But they are also extremely skilled at lying and manipulating, so it can take some time before they’re found out.

I think the movie “We need to talk about Kevin” is about this topic but I haven’t seen it.

I studied that type of personality disorder for a while and it’s terrifying stuff. One flag in adults is being extremely charming and charismatic, which reels innocent victims in.
You're always very knowledgeable on personality disorders unfortunately (it's not pleasant what drives us to study these things)

Opens a whole new world up, what's scary is how similar everyones stories are.
