Got enough points just this year to book first class for me and the wife to Japan and back for free. That's over $10k worth at least.
Free entry to the lounges, especially the centurion lounges is really nice.

AMEX Platinum appears to be the Stormbreaker of travel credit cards right now. Feeling like this when I whip it out.

I just need to determine if I will use all of the features with it.

Amex is a slightly higher fee, few better benefits, and a few things that the Chase Reserve beats it on, but nothing really significant.
comparing your two weapons, it's like the stormbreaker is obviously the more OG weapon. But Mjolnir can still be thrown around at will unomsaiyan?
If you have one, you don't really need the other. But if you're choosing between, the Amex is the better card
Not sure if anyone caught it earlier, but Chase Sapphire Reserve currently has no referral bonus or anything. So just go ahead and sign up if you want that one.

Segue into another topic: do you guys have any tips on increasing your credit limit with certain cards? I have had my Chase cards a little under three years now. My Freedom has had a lot of increases. More recently I was asked about my income. No changes in my credit limit at the moment through Chase but I'd like it eventually. Really to help with my credit utilization.

Have the chase unlimited freedom from way back, is it worth it to get the Sapphire ,Reserve or Ink ? I do not travel that often and rarely spend more than $500 on my cards. My current daily is Discover IT since they been so good to me reversing shiity charges , been good with the extended warranties and their customer service is US based

You automatically get Diamond level Hilton status, 150k points and a free weekend stay.
I bet I've gotten $300 out of my Amex Hilton just out of executive lounge access

What do you mean by “credit utilization ratio”? Does this mean i should use debit more than credit?

If you must pay something off over time, put it on your card to get the points then pay it off immediately with a low-interest no-fee personal loan (Marcus, Discovery, LightStream) for lower costs and because installment loans are calculated separately and are not very important to your FICO score.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Don't really have a preference on Airlines. I fly out of a small airport that basically has the big 3 (no southwest).
I should mention my wife has 120k AA miles and 80k Delta
I'd like to focus on stockpiling some airline miles for a business/first class ticket to Aus/Asia sometime in 2020.
