It should take 8 weeks tops to get visible abs, so keep going. Let the mods let you back in once you can post the pics.

i remember reading posts you made in a thread years ago where people were asking you how you got so lean and you were answering matter-of-factly about simply making adjustments to maintain the deficit as the cut progressed and that there's nothing to it, you just have to eat less. i feel like i've finally gotten to that point. the difference though is if i recall correctly, you'd eat anything, but would just manage the calories. i prefer to eat all unrefined chit to increase food bulk.

I'm still confused about cardio not to be counted as part of the deficit.
If maintenance is 2000 and you do 200 cal of cardio why wouldn't your total be 1800?

I'm more relaxed now about food choices while cutting because I've built the mental discipline to handle it, but yeah having unrefined whole foods is a much better approach if you can stick with it.

I do cardio, Iโm just saying itโs a detail. I donโt want it to go faster. I eat back any cals I burn with extra cardio.

i swear i could have eaten 1200kcals the entire time with zero activity of any kind and been much further along, although i would eventually look worse than the machinist

Cardio definitely makes it so you can eat more.
When I cut the first time at 225 @ 25-30%, was legit a fat ass. I started off eating 2600 cals a day and lost weight without cardio just lifting. Then I got a FitBit HR and started doing the exact same cardio as Ratfish. Just slow ass walking for 60 minutes a day in the woods on a trail near my house and the FitBit said I would burn like 480+ calories from that and would automatically sync up with My fitness pal and add calories that I could eat.
Followed what it said even though some days from lifting and cardio it said I could eat 3,000 cals and be in a 750 cal deficit lol. I'm a firm believer that it doesn't matter what you eat cause I was drinking my entire cut. I drank beer so switched to Miller Lite for my cut cuz it was 96 calories per 12 oz. Would drink 8-12 beers 4-5 days a week, sometimes if I wanted more I would make a deal with myself that I had to walk to the store (1 mile uphill so it was hard lol) which was extra cardio).
My whole diet was mainly beer, ground beef, turkey, salad, chicken, mashed potatoes, Greek yogurt etc. Lifting 4-5 days a week and LISS 5-6 days a week. It took me like 12 months to lose the 65 pounds but I had like 1 or 2 days a week where I'd say screw it and binge to keep my sanity. Still went from 225 @ 25% to 160 @ 9-10%. Never trained abs though, only relied on squats/deadlift and weighted chins. Next time I bulk I'll do direct ab work.
Start:

End:

Said fuk that and slowly bulked back up to 175 @ 12-13% and felt better.

After that I got lazy and stopped lifting for 9 months, got back up to 205 @ 20-22% and literally saw this thread. It gave me motivation to get back in shape (srs). Now I'm down to 191 pounds and trying to get back to 170. I don't drink anymore so it's been a bit easier. Haven't done cardio yet and been going to the gym 3 times a week. Will start walking again and maybe lift 4-5 days a week once March hits depending on where I stand.
You're doing the Lords work OP. Motivating at least one miscer (and likely more) because you're one of 2018s GOAT posters. Free Ratfish 2019 if he gets banned. Das it mane.
