meet girl, be exclusive, get engaged, get married, buy house, have kids, buy bigger house, trade balls for minivan, get divorced, start life over again at 40
LOL
if you don't sign away your life with a contract or an impregnation, you can sidestep a life of chit where external forces dictate your every move
fukk all that noise

My wife and I were down with no kids for the longest time. I got the itch for one. She got pregnant. We are both happy to have her. Greatest thing in my life. Wish I had another one but wont. Kids are amazing and I didnt appreciate them until I had my own.
Might suck if you were poor with multiple kids. Not sure. Always been upper middle class so cant relate.

Having a harpy shriek in my ear about keeping up with the Joneses and ****ing around in the Rat Race does not sound fun at all.
I'm gonna do it on my own terms. At least I get to sleep in.
Extra money to save and invest with.
It's not even about being a Bachelor and fukking around. I just wanna do what I want to do. Cant let someone else drag me in another hole. Too risky.

it is all fun and games until some couples have to raise a kid with a serious syndrome, those things are not that uncommon you know
of course you would still love them but their life is going to be hell for the most part + the potential blaming yourself for it
have seen it IRL and it scared the **** out of me
not to mention that you are not always in control of how he/she ends up as an adult, could be a complete bum with no ambitions - genetics is a mysterious and scary phenomenon
main reason I am afraid of kids, might want to adopt
cope all you want guys but you never know, may theory of probability and nature have mercy on you lol

if you're financially set it may work out fine with marriage n' family. but OP definitely has a point, look at divorcing rates etc.
men also almost never get sole or even shared custody once its over. i worked in that office (don't know the name in english, sry) where they decide on these kinda things and men always finish last. goodbye money, goodbye seeing your children growing up, welcome alimony and don't forget the humiliation in general.
i truly wish the married brahs here all the best and i'm sure it can work out perfectly. but society has changed and marriage is not what it was once. im not against marriage but very critical. the risks - in my humble opinion - far outweight the benefits.

My lineage ends with me, thank god. I wouldn't be so cruel as to forcefully bring another human into this chit existence to suffer and be a wageslave and die.

Its not for me (at least at this point in my life) but to each their own OP... Raising a kid is just like any other hobby. It costs alot more money but from what I hear, its much more rewarding and provides alot more enjoyment.
$200k over 18 years isnt all that crazy, i spent $60k+ over the past 2 years on my car hobby which I only get to enjoy a few hours a week.
As for marraige/divorce, thats pretty simple... know who your marrying/dont marry a whore and get a pre-nup... Yes theres still a chance for divorce, but following these steps, there is a 99.9% chance youre going to make it.

30 years old here.
Don't want kids. Would rather spend my money seeing the world, driving expensive cars, dining at expensive restaurants and having free time to do whatever I want..then eventually die knowing I lived the life I want.
You can be the best parent in the world, and your kid can grow up to be a drug addict criminal..and you will have to live with knowing the last 20+ years of your life was for nothing. Kind of a gamble I suppose.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

lol at the people who are thinking at 60 they will be single no kids sailing their yacht around the Mediterranean with a couple of hot 20 year olds in tow. (chance < 1%)
Realistically going to be eating a sandwich on a park bench at lunch with no one to talk to and nothing to do before you go to the cinema to watch a movie and cry when a love scene comes up (chance 90%+)
