I am in awe of your bravery.

I couldn't really care less if they want to make movies with female leads. I just find it funny that if you dare to criticize these films you're an incel or misogynist. I don't doubt there are people who will crap on the movie regardless if it's good or not. It's just hilarious that since ghostbusters or whatever every movie with a woman in a lead role is some sort of statement on gender. What's funny is they end up putting themselves between a rock and a hard place. The movies usually aren't progressive enough for the people who care for that sort of thing and too "sjw" for people who actually spend money on them. Most of them are regurgitated garbage hoping to capitalize on the social issue du jour.

I don't know how the two could be compared in all honesty. But if you do go see it let us know - I plan to go see it of course as a MCU fan who doesn't want to wait. But I'm not optimistic at all.

Nah brah. Some people just dont care about politics(Im not from US). Agenda, yeah it gets annoying. I still dont get why BP gets Oscar nominations for Best Movie, while IW doesnt.

I didnt watch female Ghostbusters cuz its clearly agenda. But Im a Marvel fan so I will watch it, its not like Captain Marvel was just made lately for agenda, she is around for decades, its not like theres no male superhero movies, theres been dozens since the first Iron Man in 2008. If it sucks, Ill say it, if its good then good.

I'll see it just for that and because I'm a fan of the MCU in general, same as I did with Black Panther because I didn't want to potentially miss anything for IW.

You're looking at this wrong.

How many people would have felt compelled to see CM if there was no post-credit scene implying it was going to be important to the IW/EG story arc? Probably not a lot. Less than the other stand-alone movies, I'd bet.

How many people now feel compelled to see CM because they're afraid skipping it will leave them out of the loop when they go to see EG? A LOT.

What was the downside to including that post-credit scene? Zip. Even if CM wasn't in the EG movie at all, nobody is going to complain.

Wasn't the reveal at the end of Infinity War basically telling us that she will be the key to resolving that?

Not saying you have to give money and go see it. But I'll go so I can see for myself what's happening rather than relying solely on other sources such as YouTube "reviews" to inform me.

People will see the film because it ties into End-Game. There really isn't much of a reason to go to movies anymore outside of comic films. Dudes will take their girl and chill for a couple hours watching Captain Marvel. And FA internet nerds will rage about anyone seeing the film

Brie is an annoying SJW 5/10 sloot, but then again Mel Gibson is a racist nutcase, and I'll still see his films. Nearly all actors are SJW, even Arnold now.

Rotten Tomatoes currently has Catpain Marvel sitting at 89%. Their final verdict on Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi was 91% critic approval to a 44% audience rating lmao.

I don't really like spoilers. I'd rather see it for myself. I may not like who they cast for the role outside of the movie, but I'm trying not to let that cloud my own judgement of the movie itself. Like I said, I'm a MCU fan in general and I'm fairly confident that they will do at least a decent job with it to make it enjoyable within the series. Plus, it looks like it can be almost just as much of a Fury origin story, which will be fun.
