85 lb dumbbells for flat pressing? Its not that impressive but certainly if you can do 10+ reps you would be no weakling.

Lmao. My 16 year old twink cousin can do 90lbs. At least 20-30% of gym goers can do more than that.

That's less than what I'd consider intermediate for incline lol. Some people just get screwed on biomechanics for some lifts.

I've been lifting 13 years and NEVER DB bench press. I'd say chest is definitely my greatest muscle group as well. BB bench ftw.

let's be real tea, a good looking chest is down to genetics and not whether you focus more on db vs bb

I helped a 60yo man get the 80s up on incline. He screamed 'yeeeeeeEEEESSS!' in ecstasy(nohomo) when he got em all the way up assisted the first time. Proceded to do a couple reps with even less depth than that vid. I had to walk away cuz i was laughing so hard. didn't have the heart to tell him if you cant get out of the hole yourself the dbs are too heavy for you. He's probably ripped in snap city by now

I don't go to the gym anymore so above stats are useless.

Is there any real world difference between dumbbell and barbell bench for your average not at all impressive gym bro? Don't bro science me. None of these poverty hotel gyms have anything except a bench and a set of dumbbells.

Not at all true. 100s are decent strength like a guy who’s been going consistently but 120s are when you are possibly top 10 strongest in the gym ATM. Usually at that weight too the guys just own that **** and it doesn’t look like the 15 year old with the 85s flaring his arms and with weird tempo

You're not really a man if you can't press at least 100's on incline

I try putting myself into a females frame of mind when I think about this stuff... "Would I let a guy than can't even press 100's bang me?"

And honestly, I wouldn't.

Deadly serious.

I used to do 90s. Most I have ever done. I rep the 70s now, but I'm recovering from some injuries. I can still rep the 80s.
