One of the mental benefits of fasting is that I've pretty much stopped giving a chit about the opinions of blowhards srs.

So sleep isn't being significantly interrupted by a frequent need to pee and from hunger pangs?

That's not good, you wanna urinate 3-4 times a day or enough to have some yellow. You haven't mentioned anything about this but urinating too much or clear is gonna flush your electrolytes

I can barely sleep on any huge caloric restriction.
I was up until ~2:30am the first three nights, with 4.5 to 5 hours of sleep each night. I usually get ~6 hours.

Yeah a little bit. It was tough to get to sleep, but I was tired enough that I got there eventually. Your body is going to flip out for a few days. Just have to sit back and let it happen.

If you're lean enough you'll have more prevalent sleep issues. Generally long fasts such as OPs with the goal of weight loss are for slobs. Once you're in decent shape it's better to fast for 2-3 days and refeed more often

heading into day 4 myself, losing some facial bloat, overall feeling REALLY sharp, hunger's not as bad as i thought, im chitting blanks at this point. Can't wait til day 7 til i refeed (a medium sized meal not gorge myself), heard it tastes like heaven because of how long your gustatory cortex hasn't been processing anything for awhile, every detail on the plate, hngggggg.

Still alive, buddy. We still doing this. Day 7 of going full no food. I figure days 5-10 are where the real healing takes place, so I'm in the sweet spot.

don't think OP is consuming salt, like me, only after 11 days you start feeling the first symptoms.

The problem with fasting say for 7 days is once they are up you will eat all of those days back plus the ones that you are on.

Basically it doesnt work. This was covered in the 90s. Its called yo yo dieting.
Dont gimme some crap about auto****y and low insulin etc giving it the Jason Fung some quack who runs clinics for crackheads

there are so many other major benefits of an extended fast. losing weight is almost irrelevant compared to them.
