60,000 individual people (under reported) in a month...50k estimated by multiplying estimates times estimates in a year. You should probably find a better comparision.

The longer answer is I'd rather overshoot the medium rare a little because I despise eating meat I perceive to be any degree of cold whatsoever, and I don't want to rush as I eat either

It's an election year, following 3+ years of time-to-buy. Hopefully you bought during the last 3+ years when we were all yelling at everybody to buy ammo (and guns) 'right now' because it was only going to get worse.

Probablysupply will get better this summer but election runup is around the corner, so, who knows...and even if supply picks up I wouldn't expect prices to go down enough to matter unless and until loud mouth orange man wins the election vs creepy old uncle in Nov
I have no problem waiting a few weeks for delivery, I'd just like to be able to replenish what I would shoot in a range day without getting gouged. I have been buying guns and ammo regularly over the last few years, however I was shooting regularly as well. The current pricing has mostly made me stop shooting for right now

Doctors pressured to lie on death certificates that a person who did NOT die of COVID died of COVID, your "60,000 individual people (under reported) in a month" is meaningless.
Earlier this month, Illinois’s top health official explained that any victim diagnosed with the novel coronavirus would be classified as a COVID-19 death—regardless of whether it contributed to the patient’s death.

“If you died of a clear alternate cause, but you had Covid at the same time,it’s still listed as a Covid death,” Dr. Ngozi Ezike, the director of Illinois's Department of Public Health, explained to reporters.

"COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is assumed to have caused or contributed to death.

Fake death data from the CDC, coupled with wild guesstimates from experts, and the relentless barrage of fear porn the mainstream media subjects Americans to around the clock, have been getting results

The people pushing the vaccines are gun grabbers. The medical tyrants don't want Americans to be able to shoot and kill them when they send their thugs to attempt to force vaccinate the population.

You mean the one where the anti-vaxxer who is home schooled and refuses all vaccines tells bill gates he can keep his poison?

Applied for my deer and elk tags today. Hopefully I get both but I'm guessing we will see a big increase in applications giving the situation. I went with rifle cow, this year I just want meat. For deer I went with the same tag I had last year. Any species, any sex. First deer I see goes down. Trying not to mess around this year, fill that freezer.

Fair enough. I'd rather eat it closer to rare than risk hitting medium. At medium the texture changes to the point its almost inedible to me

This day trading stuff is getting addicting. So far I haven’t had one loss.

I bought 230 shares of Beyond Meat today at an average price of 92.85 and just sold it at 94.25. It’s still climbing. 94.78 right now but I try not to get greedy. Take my quick 2-300 gains for the day and sell everything.

Probably going to be a month or 2 since I'm not in a hurry and OT slowed down so I'm trying to not blow too much money, but looking at this as a cheap 6.5 creedmore to have fun with at the range. Thoughts?

https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_..._apply_trigger

Realistically I am not shooting 1000 yards, just not my thing, but decent group to 500 or so is more what I am interested in. This seems like a decent budget option for a range toy.

Yeah...60K in 4 months. God damn get off of it.

Even if it's been here since before January we haven't counted those. So 60k in one month.

We already discussed this in the actual covid thread.

It doesn't say what you want it to say.

Are you sure you want to go through the data in here and not there? Who am I kidding, of course you do. I'll go put it together for you

"Why these numbers are different

Provisional death counts may not match counts from other sources, such as media reports or numbers from county health departments. Our counts often track 1–2 weeks behind other data for a number of reasons: Death certificates take time to be completed. There are many steps involved in completing and submitting a death certificate. Waiting for test results can create additional delays. States report at different rates. [color=red]Currently, 63% of all U.S. deaths are reported within 10 days of the date of death,[color]but there is significant variation among jurisdictions.[color=red]It takes extra time to code COVID-19 deaths.[color] While 80% of deaths are electronically processed and coded by NCHS within minutes, most deaths from COVID-19 must be coded manually, which takes an average of 7 days. Other reporting systems use different definitions or methods for counting deaths."

"Percent of expected deaths is the number of deaths for all causes for this week in 2020 compared to the average number across the same week in 2017–2019. Previous analyses of 2015–2016 provisional data completeness have found that completeness is lower in the first few weeks following the date of death (<25%), and then increases over time such that data are generally at least 75% complete within 8 weeks of when the death occurred."

Yet they're already at 120% of expected deaths for the week of 4/11,and near 100% for the entirety of March.

Interesting, I did not know that.

I'll put it out there now that we're going to have record low flu/cardiac/pneumonia deaths for 2020-21.

Flu we might because social distancing, hand washing, masks, and business closures...not surprisingly...significantly reduce the spread of flu as they reduce the spread of covid (also discussed in the appropriate thread with supporting scientific studies from multiple countries)

What we've seen from cardiac and pneumonia ishigherand is part of the reason total deaths are higher by more than the official covid numbers. This has also been discussed already in the appropriate thread

PS: I took most of that directly from the link you provided. You have to look past the headline and critically think about what is being presented, otherwise it's like the steppers who quote "gun deaths" that include suicide and are convinced assault rifles mowing children down accounts for that number

As I told somebody in here a month or two ago on this topic, you have to do some research and understand precisely what the numbers are you looking at are/mean/how they are defined/where they come frombecause it's far too easy to mislead with a headline or a little blurb with numbers and little or no context

Those totals are going to be much lower compared to previous years as we move through the year. It's simple logic. Old, immunodeficient, and obese people can't die twice.
