Would you support reparations for African Americans if it ends all of the protests?

So how would it negatively effect you? Your tax rate is still the same. You would pay taxes regardless.

way too hypothetical....as if it's a magic wand.
No on principal. Giving money to people who didn't experience the hardship paid for by people who didn't commit the crime.

You want to equalise the classes then give money to the lower class citizens, regardless of race. Because that's the whole argument isn't it? More black people have lower socio-economic status. Guess what, we already have that. It's called welfare.

Slavery,
reconstruction,
jim crow,
civil rights
police brutality and incarceration
and in 2020 are still feeling the negative effects of these policies.
Don't ask me what negative effects that conversation is too advanced for the Misc.
Most miscers wouldn't be able to comprehend or have an actual intelligent conversation about the subject.

Also y'all can cut that "go back to where you came from" BS stuff too. I have family members that served in WW1 and served in the law enforcement and the military. This country is mine just like any other American.

Also, how about native people who had their land stolen? by that logic they should get it all back? do they get any reparations?
curious
edit: where is the cutoff for people who have to pay? for example if your family came to the states in the 80s, 90s or whatever, do they have to pay? if so, why?

and you didnt answer my other question - who exactly has to pay? why would families that came to america later have to pay? for example, my family came from europe to canada in the 80s. if my parents happened to go to the states why would we be accountable?

i served with africans that got their citizenship while in uniform and they never considered themselves african american; they considered themselves american. they even laughed at the term because they are more african than african americans. just my opinion, but we as a country will never be united as long as we continue to hyphenate our americaness.
