Alcohol makes people do weird sh*t. The guy was drunk. He freaked out. There is more variability to human behavior than painting a broad stroke and saying either you are that kind of person or you are not. People do crazy sh*t.

This guy paid for it. It is sad but there are too many cases of unarmed people getting killed. Even if this guy was armed the political climate is going to have the media using it to their advantage. To fit whatever narrative.

This isn't really an open and shut case. He was fleeing. Even if he was armed he was still fleeing. There are states where if you shoot a burglar or robber in the back even if they are armed it is illegal.

Also the post I made was for the square who negged me, not you

best scenario is if guy complied
second best scenario is that he ran but didn't shoot taser
third best scenario is he shoot taser but missed and cop was kind or calm enough to not defend himself with lethal force and get him later
second to worst scenario is what happened here in a terrible time
worst scenario would have been if copper got incapacitated and he ran back for his gun and shot the other guy too

I wonder how many other justifications you make for people getting shot. I get it this guy became a threat sure. But you don't think there could have been another way to handle this even if he got a hold of the taser?

I wonder if you feel the same if he were white. No race bait.

I hope for your own sake that you never get popped running away after you go out and get yucky and some cops try to arrest you for whatever they are investigating
race is irrelevant, his actions caused his demised

i've had multiple run ins with police and all have turned out just fine because I complied and did not steal their weapons or run away

Cops killed 1000 people in 2019, while only 50 cops were killed. How is this possible, since they are so undergunned and unmanned? We have more prisoners than any other country in the world, yet you guys act like cops are out there undergunned in a dangerous warzone. Lmfao. Stop watching Dirty Harry and Death Wish movies and face reality. As far as the first post, I believe that the shooting was justified.
The "it's not one of the most dangerous jobs" line is absolutely true. But it's also the job that you're most likely to get murdered just for being at work... so there's that.

How many of those 1000 were completely justified though? You can't just throw numbers around without context and expect it to prove a point, this isn't reddit.

Did the punishment fit the crime?

What are your thoughts on George Floyd? Was he acting like a criminal? Did he get treated like one?

This wasn't a punishment for his crime, it was an effect of his actions.

He CHOSE to drive DUI.
He CHOSE to resist arrest.
He CHOSE to fight with police.
He CHOSE to take a taser.
He CHOSE to shoot the taser at an armed officer.

Those choices have consequences. Just like when a DUI driver crashes into a tree, no one blames the tree, and no one is saying that death should at all be the "punishment" for a DUI, but sometimes choices have consequences and if someone is willing to make those risky choices, they're going to have consequences.

Consequence can be juxtaposed with punishment.

The officers CHOSE to restrain him and failed and got their weapon taken.

They CHOSE to fail to apprehend him properly.
They CHOSE to get their weapon taken.
They CHOSE to let him get away.
They CHOSE to shoot him.
They CHOSE to lose their jobs.

We can play the CHOSE game all day.

The dumb ass then took it and chose to ran. Still don't think he should have got popped. The poor bastard probably has his mind warped from all this stuff going on with black dudes getting murdered by cops. He didn't trust them. Who knows if he was so drunk and didn't know what was happening? No one knows. The cops need to be held responsible for failing to do their jobs. Just like everyone else and they need to pay the consequences for the actions that they CHOSE.

Are you stupid? Seriously. The officers CHOSE none of that. Brooks literally chose all of that. His demise is a consequence of his actions. Being "so drunk and not knowing what was happening" is not at all a reasonable reason or excuse.

I normally engage in reasonable discussions on this forum, but you're seriously just an idiot.

21k posts. You engage with anything that walks stfu.

Just because my points don't fit your narrative they are not stupid. Your post was stupid. If you can't properly execute a DUI investigation without poppin someone you are a FAIL. These snowflakes got their weapon taken and were embarrassed and took the poor bastard out.

That is incompetence on a whole new level. They don't deserve to be cops and got fired rightfully. Now take your poverty rambo profile pic and shove it up your ass right next to those boots after you get done licking and shining them.

Okay, I'm engaging this moronic line of reason one last time.

No, they did not "choose" to arrest him. If you work at Starbucks, you don't "choose" to make someone's coffee for them. It's literally the requirement of the job you're collecting compensation from. If they didn't attempt to detain someone driving so chit faced that they're falling asleep behind the wheel, they'd be fired in most departments. If you would have preferred they let the guy drive home and endanger everyone on the road, you're also a fukkin moron.

The officer also "choose" to shoot him when there was a very real possibility of death if he didn't. Suspect was closer to the officer at that point than his partner was. He could have EASILY had the suspect come back and steal his firearm. It's happened before, and this is someone who already had stolen one weapon from the officer.

Bottom line, you're a ****ing moron if you think the officers "chose" any of this situation. The person making the choices was the dirtbag who the officer thankful rid society of. The same guy who also chose to rough up his girlfriend and child according to his criminal record.

So with this line of reasoning that you are CHOOSING to engage with (because this isn't your job although it looks like it from how often you post your cringey incel threads with TP and guns) you are saying that the cops didn't choose to arrest him?

They chose their jobs didn't they? They know that not being able to restrain a suspect can be dangerous? So why didn't they cuff him like competent professionals and instead let him run away with their weapon?

This is some NOOB ish. The guy was a POS sure but the cops handled it HORRIBLY and they deserve to be charged PERIOD

How about you stop bending over to find every possible angle to defend the dirtbag felon over the police risking their lives to keep the community safe? For fuk sake.

You aren't allowed to use force to hold people resisting down now. So this type of thing will inevitably happen. Next time it will be a cop getting killed because they're too scared to use their gun.

So a couple things.

First, lefties have been bitching for years about police and fire not hiring enough women. So, departments dropped their physical requirements a ton to make those hires. No idea if that's in play here, but if they approached hiring cops the way the military approached infantry, this would be a lot easier.

Second, there's anyways going to be people who could overpower a couple average size dudes. No idea how large this guy was, but most 225lb miscers who lift could probably toss two average size brahs off them.

This. I don't understand that we even have a discussion about this?

Maybe because, in this overly sensitive lib chit environment, any escalation of force during arrest is considered police brutality now, even if warranted due to perp resisting arrest. Maybe he didn't outright use the tazer when given the chance because libcucks would again cry foul over unnecessary use of force w/"deadly weapon" even if warranted. I foresee many more of these situations in the future because police will be very hesitant to use necessary force now due to our cucked society and sadly this will lead to good officers dying and more scumbags free to roam the streets.

It is indeed for real and not a game. Cool opinions aside if you attempt to incapacitate a cop. You get dead by law
I was being sarcastic then that guy who deleted his post replied to me as if i was being serious

In my opinion if you fight a cop while he's trying to arrest you then run away with his taser you should be taken out of the gene pool immediately

Lots of ifs and buts here. I don’t believe he was an imminent danger to either the cops or any member of the public, he’s intent is clearly to escape capture rather than kill anyone, also last time I checked the point of a taser is it’s not a deadly weapon. Let him run, he’s a petty criminal in this scenario and they’ve got his car, with his license plates and maybe drivers license etc inside so can easily track him down. No one had to die in this situation, it wasn’t a case of his life or theirs
