I’ve done combat sports my whole life, & every trainer worth their salt will focus on endurance along with explosiveness. Check any fighter’s workout log also. They all put in mileage at least a couple days a week.
As an aside, I generally agree with you OP, but it’s absolutely not a rule. Also, to the bros saying lifting or running’s easier, you just don’t realize how they both equally suck in different ways. I hate running for 15 mins & then it’s a fuking breeze once that runners high kicks in. Lifting, the pain is way shorter but it’s also more extreme & the hnnng painkilling endorphin rush isn’t the same. Plus, lifting involves diet manipulation that’s probably one of the hardest things on the planet. I struggle with bulking, but many struggle with cutting and stay bloatmaxed.
I’ve also previously been a hardcore runner. I’m talking over 10 miles several days per week, & my whole mentality changed compared to when I focused more on lifting. I felt less angry/aggressive but more calm & patient. It did give me a dose of soy for better or worse. I was less angry & restless but not as concerned with being dominant.

In other words, cardio guys are soyboy cucks and lifters smash cardio boy's girl all night.

I have noticed that people who lift exclusively for their exercise tend to have tender, fragile little egos.

The true redpill is that if you are serious about cardio and know what you're doing you'll become a Chad: Most attractive mindset and most attractive body. Show me just one guy who are serious about weights (any dicipline) who's not a degenerate.

You are competing against others, but solely by virtue of aesthetic. It is as though several judges are deciding whether or not you have sculpted a sculpture to their taste, or by their taste, how close you have come to what they believe is perfection of aesthetic. The difference is such that you are the sculpture, and you are the performer at the same time. The artist and the art all at once.
It's an art form in it's purest sense.

I have been involved in both art and sports my whole life. When it comes to art, I enjoy sketching, painting, and sculpting (bodybuilding is a subcategory). For sports, I always loved combat sports. Due to injuries, I put boxing on hold. Due to the nature of my previous job, I put art on hold. What I discovered is that physical exercise alone was not enough to feel truly grounded. Bodybuilding helps me combine art and sport into one outlet. I now use bodybuilding to not only exercise my body, but also exercise my creative mind!
The inner peace and satisfaction gained from this has made me a more well-rounded and positive individual.

Exercise in of itself is extremely damaging for your body while you're doing it (oxidative damage, cortisol spike, etc). The health benefits of exercise come after recovery as your body rebuilds itself to be stronger.

And ive tried a lot. I mean... A LOT. More than 20 probably...
Soccer, handball, basketball, volleyball, rugby, swimming, surf, skate, rowing, tennis, ping pong (yah, just lol), badminton, karate, gymnastics, ... (holy ****... even I didn't know ive tried so many). Competed in soccer, swimming and karate. And when I said that Ive tried I mean 20+ sessions/classes at teams/groups and not just one time/with friends...
Weighlifting is the base of all sports.
P.S. never tried football, maybe thats the pinnacle of athleticism

The best look is the athletic one. Guy who lifts weights regularly but isnt hitting the juice hard, still does cardio so pretty lean. Aka 'the swimmers body'

I'm a bit too wordy for my own good tbhCombat sports are definitely up there among my favorite too, but I think, and maybe this is just me voicing into the aether but... Doesn't the nature of Boxing itself almost feel like an art, in a way? I mean, think about it, it's art in that it's a display of the technique two individuals have brought to the table. It's art in that, a war of attrition is unfolding in front of your eyes. It's art in that it is controlled destruction of the human body via a limited means, that prevents one from doing specific things that would be helpful in their quest to break down their opponent. I suppose, all fighting is an art, in a way!
But maybe sitting in on an art exhibition that turned out to be two boxers standing in the ring brutalizing each other was what opened my eyes.I think the mental portion of bodybuilding is absolutely part of the art as well! You're a process. You start the process. You become the process. You are the actions that you are taking. You are the beginning and the end! You find a slate and slowly chisel it down... Pushing past what is considered "ripped" into sub 8% levels, only to be held for such a short time... Only to be viewed for a few moments on the stage. Only to be seen by a select few.
It's exclusive in that way.

I lift weights because I enjoy the act itself and the process of getting stronger.
I do enough cardio to not die when sexxxing the ol lady, walking up several flights of stairs, working a physical job, etc...

Let's talk about just what each of us loves.
No need to denounce what others love.
We are here supposed to encourage not discourage each other.
Also must remind you, after all, this is none other than the bodybuilding forum.
