At the start of the war the US had about 190k troops to Germany's 4 million.

Part of the tricky thing is World War One Germany (called the Central Powers and containing at that point Several other countries) was never really dealt a crushing defeat, not anything close to flagging the reichstag for example. It’s more like they were stalemated to death, suffered logistic and economic troubles, even their worst military defeats were more like stalemates like the Somme. Further, the post war treaty was way way too rough on Germany and punished then very harshly. This is one reason hitler was able to rile up the country and blame their defeat on the Jews - he would say it wasn’t their army that lost, it was the economic side that let them down and failed them (in Central Europe lots of industry and mercantry was run by Jewish ppl because they tend to be smart). So they were an easy scapegoat for furthering his agenda and explanation of they never really lost, they were betrayed from within, time for round 2. France and England were also unwilling to see that Germany was rearming for war, they couldn’t imagine a repeat of the atrocities of the brutal World War One, they thought it was over.

They really weren't as strong as we make them out to be.
1. In terms of strategic resources they really had none. No rubber, no major oil fields, not enough farmland to feed a growing population, they had coal in large amounts tho, little steel, and they had no significant reserves of rare materials. Industrial wise they did have a robust industrial base but they lacked the resources to churn out everything they needed without cutting resources for other sectors.
2. Military wise, Germany relied heavily on horses and the myth of the motorized German Army is just that a myth. They had to rely on trains and the occupied lands to feed them.
3. Manpower wise they didn't really have much to work with. A lot of theirs troops were on garrison duty in Norway, Yugoslavia, Greece, France and other places. They needed men to work the fields and factories. Towards the end of the war many divisions were simply shells of their former selves.
4. Money wise Germany was going bankrupt and the annexation of Austria and Czechoslovakia really saved them. Their respective gold reserves and foreign cash saved Hitler from either defunding the military or declaring bankruptcy. This is why he pushed so hard for the annexation of Danzig a very prosperous city into the Reich. If Poland had agreed he would have probably asked for the whole corridor and the rest of Eastern and Southern Silesia. His economy was predicated on the continual spending on the armed forces which required money. Autarky wasn't helping either since if you can't trade with other countries you can't get foreign cash.
Germany simply got lucky in my honest opinion. The Western World was still recovering from the First World War and they didn't want to lose another generation to another war. If they had wanted they could have stopped Germany in 1936 when Hitler marched into the Rhineland. The German Army had plans to oust Hitler if even a single french soldier or police officer fired back. They didn't and Hitler got bolder. The Allies wanted to appease him and this gave Hitler a false sense of invisibility. Germany had everything going for it in the first 2 years but after that the industrial might of the allies would pulverize Germany. It also didn't help that Germany refused to help Arm its minor axis allies. I hope this helped. Hitler's entire plan if you read Mein Kampf was entirely predicated on the Western Allies allying or not getting involved in his Eastern Expansionism. After annexing Czechoslovakia, Hitler shot himself in the foot because the Allies were now ready to fight back.

The WW2 German army wasn't even the most powerful German army of the 20th century. I'm not surprised you uneducated tards under estimate WW1 Germany. That was the true great military power of the first half of the 20th century. Destroying the Russian army and forcing a surrender of Russia in WW1 (while also holding France, Canada, England, USA, Italy back) is more impressive than anything that they did in WW2.
They beat up on tiny nations that had no real military around them. They took a pathetically unprepared France out quick, including the BEF. But had no way to ever defeat England. They attacked Russia in hopes that they could do to it, what they did to France. They could not. They were stomped. Germany was just more prepared for war in 1939 than the nations around it. It doesn't mean they were any stronger.

Things would've been a lot different if Hitler actually listened to his generals

Crazy to think how Hitlers name is going to stand the test of time probably stronger than anyone’s
Seriously that dude bought it nearly 80 years ago and his name still fills people with the same emotional rage today that it did nearly 80 years ago.
And truthfully, I don’t exactly see it fading any time soon.
Not gonna lie, if there’s an afterlife wherever Hitler is he’s loving this

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
