I don't want to imagine a future like that lmao it's fukin disgusting and depressive. I don't understand how anyone can look at this fictional scenario and not be appalled. I kind of get the point of view that it is evolution, but how much further do we really need to go?

As for that book, Homo Deus, I actually saw it at the bookstore yesterday and didn't think to look at it, but I will go back and check it out on Sunday.

If you have a balcony or small terrace available you cant start growin some tomatoes, they're easy to grow and a good plant to start with. Same with making compost you can do it on a closed bin. Once you get the feel of it you can grow more then when you move to a bigger lot you'll already have the feel for it. Because it takes some time to get that "feel" it's not some hippy bs is just an understanding of what plants need and reacting to it.

For example:

There's nothing more rewarding than eating food grown by yourself. Nowing that no money or bs ideologies were involved. Only pure symbiosis between man and the natural world. It's hnnggg

The only way to control Dataism is to not feed it. There really is no other way, as far as I can see. But I am honestly open to your suggestions.

Living with it just mean submitting to it, IMO.

Spiral Dynamics is a model that I have a lot of time for, and I honestly think that it may be an accurate map and projection human civilization. (Albeit not in a uniform way.)

"communism" is just shorthand for any ideology being pushed to control the masses, since they all share the same lineage

all ideology has the goal of "controling" the masses to create a unified dogma this includes religion as it is and ideology. The lineage of comunism is humanism, which is shared by capitalism too. They're both interpretations of the same dogma.

Looks like I'm in the blue crew. I'd like to be more in the green. I'm a country boy and have always loved nature and just being out in the woods. Just being out in nature brings you closer to God, if you are a theist like me, or just whatever spiritual things that atheists believe in. It should make everyone who has a sense of things greater than themselves feel something

Yes the only way is to stop generating and sharing data. Which doesn't mean going back to primitivism. For example you can pirate and download photoshop, use it in a PC unplugged from the internet. Create some art, print it, frame it in your home and share it with your friends or relatives that visit your home and so on. Technology can exist without contribuiting to dataism

Exactly.

Too many people IME when I make threads on this reply with "Why are you still using technology then?"

The problem isn't technology, it's Dataism. (Thank you again for giving me the concept that describes what I've been trying to warn about.)

Read yuval's book, it's very interesting and he goes about it with much more detail and many other interesting topics about himanity or for another example. You can live with todays technology completely off grid and off data if you want. You can have affordable solar panels and water filtration systems, same with water managment and food production. With current techonology you can have unprecedented yields in agricultrue by switching to hydroponics and feed yourself and your family all without genetic manipulation BS just good old knowledge.
Avoiding dataism also doesn't mean renouncing the internet the worlds biggest knowledge base, any question can be answered and anything can be learned. Wanna learn why your tomatoes are dying? usea vpn an a search engine to download a PDF About agricutlrure and problem solved. You can make the most of technology without contributing to the data flow
