EDIT: here's one for the normans

If you had bought just $100 of BTC at the start of each month, beginning in December 2017 (i.e. the worst possible time) when everyone was going mental, you would:

> have invested $3600 over 36 months
> now have 0.497 BTC worth $9200
> be up 2.6x without trying or thinking or knowing what you're doing

Why didn't you have even $100 per month to save? Don't tell me you had that money but put it in a bank account instead?
Could have been a slayer.

You got lucky. You arenโ€™t a moron and you arenโ€™t a genius. Pure luck.

Crypto is a complete speculative gamble, especially when the market barely reflects intrinsic value.

WTC is a scam coin and itโ€™ll probably still pump soon.

My choices of investment have absolutely nothing to do with luck.

I was counting on a move like this. It was obvious and inevitable. Just I wasn't sure of the timing, but around this 1950-2000 sats level seemed like a good entry in a longer time frame.
Luck is when you buy something randomly and know nothing about it.

So no, I didn't get lucky. And that's a massive insult, especially that I accumulated heavy during a bear market where everyone had lost hope. I kept pouring money in.

Luck is not just buying something randomly. But there is zero chance you predicted the general crypto market movement which barely even correlates to intrinsic value.

Itโ€™s nice to believe you did make a great prediction. But it isnโ€™t true, and youโ€™re naive to think so. Maintain humility. You invested in a massively speculative market, just like I did when I invested in Ethereum at $80. I got lucky, you did too.

โ€œNothing to do with luckโ€ - comical statement.

I agree.

There is not a huge amount of studies for the crypto market but for the stock market there is. What the studies say is that by stock picking and/or market timing (active investment), you can of course outperform the market (passive investment), but only for a while. Outperformers are not identifiable by their past performance. In other words: whatever performance you make above the market, is 100% pure luck, no matter what you base your investment decisions in. Over time, luck evens out.

Did you leave it on there or withdraw? I read you can store on WTA app which can also do the swap. Thereโ€™s also a method of Metamask + MEW where you can can still use Ledger but I have like $25 and cba going through hoops lol

Ye thatโ€™s why I mostly stick with low cost index funds. Crypto is just that 5% gambling/moonshot allocation for me, picked a few startups/****coins and expect to lose my investment on most if not all.

I still have no idea why xrp is pumping, I understand Ethereum though. Watch out if you hold XRP, the founders are ruthless ruthless dumpers.

They have an option to deposit ERC 20 WTC token on binance, then you can withdraw if you want to a mainnet App address but I've got no intention of holding it.. dreaming for the day I can sell it if we get the 2017 style altcoin run.

This could be a replay of late 2017. XRP could easily pump to $3 again.

I underestimated the traction of the masses last time. Ripple is very, very good at marketing and PR.

We're all gonna make it boyos.

I'll probably dilute at 10%, getting too risky for me above that. I'm already on track for early retirement, not gonna sabotage that.

Of course the equation is different for everyone. 5% play money is the general recommendation.

Depends on retirement goals imo.

I can retire now and live relatively frugally but I want a 8 figure networth.

I'm in an awkward place right now, I want to blow my brains out in my wage cuck lifestyle but on the other hand I can't retire and live decently. Few big investments are my only hope.
