Obviously in the case of every single one of them being in certain places at certain times will have a large impact on their life. The difference is if you were given the exact opportunities and timing of any of these successful people you'd still have achieved nothing in comparison.

I wish I could find the study that compared returns of politicians' portfolios vs. various benchmarks. I do remember that Nancy Pelosi is considered one of GOAT stock traders of all time lmao. She only picks winners.

I never understood this argument, the hardest working people in the world are dirt poor. What you just said basically proves that it relies even more on luck because you have to be born with a million other things. Success is 100% determined by luck. They were born in the right place, in the right time, with the right parents, in the right neighbourhood, with right genetics, with the right personality, and met the right people, with a billion other coincidences. How can it be anything other than luck?

Ha haha haha that's awesome! Luckily my cubecel life isn't quite that lame, ugly Christmas sweaters are more an American thing I think. They did ask us to send in pictures of our pets as part of the "company family" thing, which I passed on.

Congrats on refusing to jestermaxx for your boss.

A) Wealth is not a zero sum game.
B) There is no correlation between the top 10%, 5%, or 1% on income mobility.

These are facts.

Miscers are basically money simps. They think if they kiss enough ass and worship rich people, they will get to be one someday.

Defending what they do and acknowledging they didn't become successful solely based off luck are two entirely separate things.

This.

Poorcels getting mad at richcels is the same as fatcels getting mad at leancels.... You can also be shredded, but you have to lift a finger.

This is america. No one is stopping you.

In fact, even our tyrannical govt trys to motivate you to participate via tax exempt investment accounts.

I'd argue that getting rich via stonks is exponentially easier than getting lean via diet.

If the boss is smart, it's his way of sorting out the winners in his company who should be promoted. The ones who tell him to go f**k himself.

But he probably ain't that smart.

You don't have to kiss anyone's ass to become rich. In fact it's detrimental to success.

Depends on your definition of "new" money. Everyone on that list comes from a family of AT LEAST millionaires. Yes including Bezos and Bill Gates, etc. These are also celebrity billionaires. No Rothschilds, Duponts, Rockefellers, etc. There are families who control much more wealth than anyone on that list.
