It was awesome. As others have said you could refresh every minute and have a fresh new first page. Lots of trolling sloots, ms paint threads, talented trolls, and real life drama ending up in jail.

Let’s be real tea - a single event killed the misc. The misc went from obscure insanity to being featured on CNN (not in a good way). The subsequent result was a liability lockdown and it killed this place over the years. Everything that made this place a zoo and unique became a ban-able offense.

To be fair the misc is attached to a business and they don’t want liability…I get it and understand it. A few miscers that still post here are personally at fault for what happened to the misc.

I joined in 2006 under a different username, but wasn’t allowed to post here because I was in a program run by a guy who wouldn’t allow us on the Misc.

I got out of that program in 2009, and started following Scooby at his forum. In 2012, he had a link to the Misc and asked if anyone there goes here. I started posting here for the first time, and those were the days when posting a new thread and it would end up on page 2 or 3 instantly.

I think the most interesting thing is how the Misc started. It is in the most obscure section of a supplement company. Ive been lurking since 08' and it was wild.

THIS.

2003-06 was actually useful information, engaging people, everybody wanted to help each other. By 10-12 the forum was MASSIVE (As was bodybuilding.com store/sales). Bump was routinely used, you may have to bump your post a few times before it might get some traction and blow up. You could post, and then go to second page and find your thread instantly there w/ 40+ views.

rudyrude's time on the misc was glorious. The crackdown on "rate my face" "plz rate" threads was insane. Instant bans if you posted, mad mods everywhere.
