Our little man is still doing great. He wakes up and fusses a few times a night still but a couple quick pats and replacing the binky in his mouth and he is right back to sleep. He's getting so much more expressive too. Tons of cute noises and facial expressions.

Also, TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Wife and I dropped him off this morning. He was excited. Wife cried after we left. Now his childhood really begins.
Kindergarten. Never did pre-k. Can read fairly well, but can't write yet. I hear they have homework now which is kinda gay, but he'll have us to help him.

Tooth Fairy: $5. The first tooth the fairy left her a nice doll and a letter saying thank you for the teeth, don't be worried I come in your room as I'm very nice, etc.
Allowance: $1/day. Her chores is setting a 10-minute timer and having her tidy around the house - so far she can organize the laundry room, putting away shoes in the organizer, hanging up coats etc, and cleaning up in the living room, dirty clothes into the hamper etc. She keeps her own room very clean so learning about keeping common space tidy and basic organization (a place for everything and everything in it's place) is the main lesson we're working right now. She doesn't do her chores every day yet but is starting to ask for things at the store, being told how much they cost, and working out how many days of chores she'll need to do. She did recently want something and already have enough money for it, so we've been leaning into that idea of doing chores to save the money for future. She'll get it!

Speaking of cleaning,
By the way, I don't mean to turn this into a thread where we sit around and just brag about our kids, but man it feels so weird in the best way to see them progress before your eyes. So my daughter....well she has an obsession with our recycling bin lol. So anytime she sees an empty can laying around, it doesn't matter how much of a fit she's throwing, or how upset she is, if you say "T( name redacted), look! I have some trash. Can you throw it away?" She immediately starts picking up trash and throwing cans in the bin.
Gotta give credit where it's due, this is something my wife has taught her. Makes me very proud.
Now, my wife's swaddles and shoes may be all over the house but trash doesn't last long
.
@mrbourbon that's a really good idea my dude srs

Sup bros. I just found this thread. Haven’t really been on the misc since around 2018. Got married, got promoted, wife got pregnant, we had a little girl 11/7/2019. Almost 2 now! Life has been crazy but seems to be settling down now.
Had to log back in and see how things have been.
My daughter Alessandra is my little buddy. She’s attached to me and copies things I say and do. It’s fun and hilarious. I love my baby so much. It’s something you can’t really know until you have your own.
Right now she’s learning the alphabet and numbers. She also likes to organize things and play with her soccer ball. She’s very active and keeps us busy. I love it.

Congrats @NickelArse!
My wife and I decided to withdraw out daughter from school and homeschool her. For now, this is just for 1st grade. We have friends that have been homeschooled and there is a very supportive homeschool community in our area.
This is the best decision for her right now. Public school right now sucks.
